A new way to verify your bank account for managed payments

Sellers,

 

We’ve made it easier for you to register for managed payments by introducing a new method to safely verify your bank account using microdeposits.  

 

With this new method, eBay will make two microdeposits in unique amounts to your bank account to verify that we have the correct bank account information for you. The microdeposits will usually post to your bank account within 1-3 business days. 

 

To identify the microdeposits, look for 2 small microdeposits in your account transaction history. Once you receive the deposits, you may return to eBay’s registration site to enter the amounts you received. Once verified, you will receive an email confirming your account. We’ll withdraw the amount of the microdeposits from your bank account typically within 3 business days.

 

If the amounts you enter do not match eBay’s records, you must verify your account using an alternative verification method.

 

In addition to microdeposits, you may also link your account directly to your seller account using eBay’s bank log-in feature. 

 

We’re excited to be offering a simpler way for Sellers to verify their bank account for managed payments.

Absolutely agree! I don't want eBay mircomanaging my money or bank account. Way too much control. What was wrong with the old way, via Paypal? This will be the breaking point for me. I refuse to give that information.

Same. Been selling since 1999. I will NOT comply with this. This is way over the top with control.

No, no, no! Way too much overreach on eBay's part. And try getting a C.S. rep to even talk to! All about eBay and their profit, while sellers do all the work and beg to get paid! No thanks. After selling on eBay since 1999, I have to respectfully decline.

Excuse me if this has been mentioned in another thread but is anyone else getting "payout failed" on a daily basis, without any messages informing about what is needed? This is a stupid system and a monumental fail. I'm already, on my way out. I just want to know if I can get the last payment from that last sale.

had a problem getting account to accept, several data submissions, voided check, bank statement had to remove company name and reenter ( in account info area),

account accepted, verified with micro payments.

payouts entering bank account as they should, red flag mssg on "my ebay" page never went away.

this has required 2 phone calls and 2 chat sessions and about 4 hrs????

now red flag mssg states (Your payouts are on hold until you update your account details)???

NOT TO MENTION ITS GIVING ME A  24 DAY DEADLINE

another phone session, (now 5 hours)  the CSR is telling me it must be a personnel bank account, because i am a sole proprietor??  so you want me close my 13 yr old business account, and open a new personnel account. Really?

ps you can not do this in one setting. any submission apparently takes several days? there is never a "done" mssg, never an email, the form never stops you if there is an error.

 

pss started this process mid September and this has become quite ridiculous. this entire process should take five minutes and be functioning properly the next day... the rest of the world asks you for a routing number and account number, wah la the systems auto fills and you confim... Done.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated! and for the know it all's with no helpful information....

Same here...received email saying I was all set in managed payments... even got a micro deposit in the correct account...why then did my LAST SALE proceeds NEVER make it into my account from Nov. 16th processing day?

After reading about all the problems with MP I am just gonna let my account ride it out and see what happens.  What can they do? End my auctions for me?  Great! One less thing I have to do.

What Ebay doesn't tell you is that they can be taking more money from you than Paypal.
I'd rather stay with Paypal please.

Great, so how do we get the micro deposits so we can get verified? I’ve been trying for a month now and and all I get is a stupid banner that’s says not verified. At least have the banner say what’s needed. Dealing with eBay is an absolute nightmare. I’m even getting emails where I’m asked to rate costumer service reps I’ve never spoken to.

Try Ruby Lane, they are much easier to work with and less fees.

I've been selling on eBay since the early days of its creation in 1996. 24 years later I have a 100% positive feedback. I 100% HATE THIS CHANGE.
