Resolved! Update to app

Been using eBay for years and it now won’t update app because it says I need ios16 which I cannot get on my phone.

I have been using ebay app for years and few days ago it's saying to update app as this version is no longer supported. When clicked there is no update available why is this is there going to be a fix for this it's ridiculous.

So update

I take it I’m not the only one unable to use the app after the latest update,I’m not prepared to buy a new phone just for eBay as my operating system will not support the latest update,any ideas on whether eBay are going to address this.

When I try to use the app it says it needs to update to a newer version but then says my phone doesn’t support the new iOS system and shuts down

Cannot update app on an older iPhone. Other family members have the same issue. Cannot load an older version. Going to lose an awful lot of customers if you don’t sort this out. Click to update and end up in an inescapable loop!

Getting message that aap needed to updated but when you click on update, says need IOS 17. Mine iPhone is on iOS15 something. Have been looking online for advice but nothing has worked till now. Need to download on older version.

EBay are demanding I must update but cannot on my iPhone. I never asked to be able to message EBay by shaking my phone! Surely a lite app version can be made available for those saving the planet by using an older phone?
