Hello folks , i seem to have a problem that I have tried to fix.

I ordered a graphics card from a vendor in China, I bought the card and in a couple of days , the tracking number that was given was showing delivered , which was impossible because it was coming from china, The vender then emailed me stating that the tracking number given was not correct and assigned me a new tracking number which i did start to follow.

As im following the package all seem right as to where it was going.

It finally hit the state and i was happy any day now I will be getting my package.

Well it got delivered to another address other than my own, and it showed the wrong address , and its in another state.

Due to an operational error by the staff, the Amazon logistics tracking number was mistakenly entered into the eBay platform logistics information, resulting in an incorrect tracking number. I opened up a ticket and they are saying it was delivered to the address where it clearly shows that it was not delivered to the right address.

Im at a lost on to what to do,

You are a victim of the "fake tracking number scam"

ETA: Please scroll down to @ittybitnot 's post below. Things have changed a bit and so has the advice for dealing with this issue.

Go to the top of this page and put that in the search area.

There are countless posts about it and the detailed instructions for how to handle it are posted on most of them.

Do not file an item not arrived case. You will lose since an item was delivered. You have to file an item not as described case. There are other ways to handle it. So, read up before you do anything.

I hope you paid by credit card.

The information in that thread is rather dated (from 2021). While the scam is still alive and well on eBay, many things have changed since that was posted.

Please see some more recent ones, for what to do AND ESPECIALLY what NOT TO DO to get your refund.

While the advice given by @simba6 in message #3 will likely work, it is simply beating the eBay denial bots and the crook at their own game. Filing "Item not Received" will demonstrate that the eBay Money Back Guarantee is going to be a giant fail. If you file INR with PayPal, OR your credit card company, and you insist on INR, you will lose again UNLESS you make it clear in is FRAUD/fake tracking scam/shipped to wrong address problem. Otherwise your claim filed elsewhere will be submitted to eBay who simply responds with the same fraudulent tracking information and you lose again.
