eBay is Removing BAD Reviews and Embellishing Sellers Ratings

I had a Feeling eBay was going to Remove my Review- It's Not the 1st Time.
I'd also like to point out that the Seller asked me to leave a Good Review without Mentioning the Refund!

"We are sorry these did not fit your vehicle.
We will issue a refund right away and you do not need to return them back to us.
We hope you are satisfied with our service and are able to leave positive feedback with no mention of the refund.
Thank you and again we apologize for any inconvenience."

"We refunded for the entire purchase price.
We do not charge for shipping, as stated in our listing.
Any other fees would need to be taken up with ebay directly.
I apologize for any inconvenience."

The seller would have been required to send you a prepaid return label and to refund in total when the item was received back to him.

Not this time.  It was an EIS sale.  eBay is supposed to handle the whole thing, but it was thwarted because the seller refunded anyway?????  What a mess!

The eBay Blues have previously intimated that if we mention the outcome of an eBay action, then the feedback will be removed. This is done to prevent abuse.

If you used doesnt fit as a reason for the return, that is a remorse return, and the buyer is responsible for shipping. And your feedback was removed because a remorse return is at the sellers discretion,he didnt have to refund you.

I didn't iniate any return
I contacted the Seller whom initiated the Return.
Because they initiated the Return, I in turn was not able to open a claim.
They sure knew how to Play the System.

How can it be Buyers Remorse when the "Fitment Chart" claims they do fit?

eBay; Yes, does not fit is a remorse return. If you have a no returns policy you will have a choice to accept (buyer paid) or decline. If you have a buyer pays returns policy and you accept the buyer will pay for return shipping.

The free shipping is for domestic, you are in Canada, you were charged $10.93 for shipping.

Seller did NOT initiate a return. They simply apologized and refunded you and you rewarded them with a scathing review trying to destroy their business.

The Seller made the Claim, Not me.
With all Due Respect, it was a Not as Described Claim..
I guess it depends if you want to be an Honest Seller or a Crook-

You got the brake pads that"do not fit" and a refund.

So now you have a set of brake pads that "do not fit" and your money back.

If they really do not fit, advertise them for sale on eBay Canada where they must be hard to find since you needed to import them.

Or FaceBook Marketplace for cash since becoming a seller takes time on eBay.

 

Most Americans are sort of clueless about international shipping. The seller probably thought he did give you a full refund, a refund of all the money he was paid.

Any import charges you should take up with CBSA. Check the blue bin before the garbage pickup for the  paperwork, the CBSA necessaries are on the back.

What I got was a Set of Brake Pads that did Not Fit.
Not As Described- 
Along with a Partial Refund, from the Seller
and a Limited Time Coupon- which Expires tomorrow for the Shipping Charges from eBay.

Now you think I should try to Mitigate my Losses because I bought an item Not as Described- and I should have to take the time to try and re-sell that item, to someone else.
How should I market them... the same way and say they fit any car?
Nothing to say about the "Fitment Chart Guarantee" Or is this for the Refund of the Item only as well?

The seller did not have to refund you. This part was sold through eIS (eBay International Shipping) which means eIS would have covered the refund had the seller not volunteered it.

 

Your feedback was kind of misleading when you said the seller did not give you a full refund. The seller refunded you in full the money they received. The international shipping you paid is money the seller never saw and had no ability to refund.

 

If your beef is with that ship cost in the form of a site credit with an expiration date, that's something to take up with eBay.
