Thank you in advance I have to turn in I get up early
I bought a item from a seller and picked it up - I paid the night before - the seller asked me for a QR code - that has never happened to me before and I have bought well over 850 items in the past couple years which at least 10 were local pick - ups and even one a friend in the UK handled for me and shipped my item for me .
I told her I never heard of that - well she contacted me tonight and said eBay wants a QR code so she can get paid ? any ideas ?
I do not get it. I thought I would ask here before calling eBay tomorrow
The seller is wonderful and I left her feedback - eBay took the money out of my account
Again - Thank you in advance

A QR code is sent to you in the order confirmation eMail. It is a code that the seller scans on pickup as proof of delivery. The seller doesn't need it to receive payment only to prove delivery.
It looks something like this

Since it is the seller who has to scan the QR code, in the email there is also a 6 digit code you can send them that they can use to prove the item was delivered.
FYI, when using local pickup, paying in advance is not a great way to go. It is better to pay after inspecting the item.
