Ebay is turning to Garbage. I hate Amazon, but to Amazon I go.

I have gone back through my reviews, and in the last 12 months 50% have been negative, before that they are rare, and it's the same reasons.

1. Ebay allowing "US Stock" on items that are not...that's fraud. Ebay doesn't care, does nothing about it, removed my negative review, won't cancel the order because seller said it's shipped, then later get tracking showing an "international package tracking was created"...proving it wasn't US stock, proving it still hasn't been shipped. If I wanted to wait weeks and save money I can order from China myself!!!

2. Being sold incorrect or blemished/broken items. I was sold a gpu with the wrong stock photo, I can't use it..no refund. I was sold a "new tire" with "blemish" burned into the side, no refund.

3. Ebay has been ZERO help. They have removed my negative review for the seller that lied, they left a negative mark on the blemished item, but removed all of my words describing it, all while they have done nothing for me. I have been through all of the nasty help loops that take you round and round.

4.  I really liked ebay...bad people are not a new phenomenon, but ebay assisting them is, ebay's customer service from India was useless. Ebay is obviously in decline, I have seen people blaming Temu/Alibaba/Amazon, but it's not because they exist, it's because they are BETTER, and Ebay refuses to improve, but instead chooses to get worse.

5. Oh, I have seen, and expect the classic bot responses to this. It's so ironic that ebay won't cut costs by getting rid of the bots out there simping for them in these comment sections, or the worst AI on the planet that they have.

6. Jump ship, get out of dodge, I warned you. Ebay, farewell, I will miss what you once were.

"Where is my money?"

Again, what was the reason given for not receiving your refund?

Re: Ebay is turning to Garbage. I hate Amazon, but to Amazon I go.

Well aren't you a delight..

Start by accusing the members here of being bots..  Good idea..

We are sellers and buyers that volunteer our time trying to assist others. Do we agree with all of eBay's policies? NO, of course not but those are what we have to explain to users, that don't understand how they work. It's an effort to help you navigate within the eBay system.

That said; Your feedback left is atrocious.

Yeah, you got bad items, slow deliveries etc... And?

Do you take no ownership for your buying choices?

Do you vet your sellers?  People all over the globe list on eBay, good & bad, honest & dishonest, experienced and noobs without a clue.

You KNOW this, it's reflected in your FB but you took not one step to verify those sellers before giving them your money. eBay has the MBG, you will get a refund, if you follow the rules.

You attacked one seller (I don't care if their item was junk) because they said "return for refund". They wanted their item back. That's pretty simple.

You don't get to keep the item and get a refund from a seller that's offering; return for refund.

Go ahead and attack me; I'm a bot, I'm an eBay employee blah blah blah... I've read it all before and that song is old and tired.

You want to go to Amazon? Go ahead. No need to announce that departure.

I will say; Thank you for posting.. And bye bye..

Keep up the good work!! Stick to it! Hang on to that sinking ship! Good job!

I am trying to provide constructive criticism, and you folks keep eyes and ears closed while typing the same "it must be your fault" "just do more work" "here is the fake guarantee, look, it's words!"

Wow, you must be one productive human being...ebay buyers are leaving in droves and you are here screaming about how it's their fault. Not the sharpest tool in the shed are ya?

3. One of them they left the negative mark and removed my words, the other they removed the negative and the words, the seller that lied about their product and the shipping time is 100% positive! It just works so well doesn't it, you folks are really proving why buyers are running away.

Reason from who? The indian speaking lady from ebay, or the seller that ignores me?

Ebay would give you the reason why your case was closed without a refund.

@d1incharge

< Weird how every single response seems to be backing ebay >

There's no need for any responder to criticize eBay, you do enough of that on your own.  The problem with your criticism is that you seem to be uninformed as to how to intelligently use eBay.  Most of the responders' replies are attempting to inform you how.  And they point out the benefits and positive features of eBay, which you either disregard or are unaware of.

When you do leave eBay, I suggest you don't burn any bridges, such as closing your account.  Do it on a trial basis, just take a vacay from eBay for a while.  Leave yourself the option to return and resume, if you find out that the others are just as bad, by your considerations.

Re: Ebay is turning to Garbage. I hate Amazon, but to Amazon I go.

Yup.

1. I check sellers location, reviews, amount of sales.

2. Seller obviously hides "blemish" mark when taking pictures of item (not a mistake)

3. I drive 1hr to get tire mounted, tire shop shows me the "blemish" burned into the tire...

4. I am out full price, I am out 1-2 hours total at this point.

5. You believe I should spend more time, with a seller that obviously committed fraud on purpose, returning a tire that a tire shop won't install? That's because you aren't very smart, and your time is worth nothing. Not one or the other, both.

If there is a case of OBVIOUS fraud by a seller (still illegal here in the US), there should not be a requirement on the buyer to do ANYTHING to get their money back.

From your responses to folks in this thread I’m not surprised sellers ignore you. You probably made it into their blocked buyer list and a most likely contender for many bbls in this forum.

Why not just go?  Why announce it here and then argue with everyone?  If you are not happy with eBay, go and don't look back.

Re: Ebay is turning to Garbage. I hate Amazon, but to Amazon I go.

@d1incharge   I'm talking about the GPU.

You wanted a refund but did not want to return it.

Fraud is covered under the MBG.

eBay can't possibly check every listing.

If you had an issue with a tire, you file an Item Doesn't Match The Listing case.

eBay has the seller send you a label to return, if seller doesn't, you have eBay step in and refund you.

I highly doubt a seller would want a defective tire returned but maybe they would.

Why on earth would you order a tire on eBay? Buy a used tire locally.

Again; YOU must take responsibility for what you are ordering and from whom.

It's YOUR money, be wise & discerning about to whom you give it.

You obviously did not want to return the tire, thats required for a refund. Had you filed an item not as described case, which takes about two minutes, Ebay would have forced the seller to provide you with a return label,if he wanted the tire back. If he did not, on the fourth day you ask Ebay to step in. You would have been immediately refunded, and allowed to keep the tire. Which it sounds like what you wanted to do anyway.Tthe return rules are the same for everybody, no exceptions,no matter how much yelling and screaming you do.

Re: Ebay is turning to Garbage. I hate Amazon, but to Amazon I go.

Yeah, if a seller commits fraud, you must spend your own time to return the worthless item to seller for refund. Makes sense. Penalty on the innocent buyer...awesome...love how you are on team fraud.
