I had a SNAD return opened and automactically approved by ebay due to the buyer not liking the color of item in person compared to my 12 pictures of the item. A weak reason considering i use a middle-end SLI camera and professional lighting in each of my pictures.
Explaining this to ebay CS, fell on deaf ears. I was also told that all service metric strikes will not be removed. If this is the case that would leave any SNAD return likely to raise the level for possible increse of FVF's as ebay auto accept returns based on seller behalf.

Under the return details it says:
Here's what the buyer said
Reason
Just didn't like it

Well that would be Buyer's Remorse alright.
Well it appears it is completely my misunderstanding. I had this backwards. The policy reads:
Beginning in October 2017, returns requests may automatically be accepted to make the returns process easier for you and your buyers. eBay will automatically accept a return request and provide a return shipping label to the buyer when the buyer pays for return shipping. If you offer free returns or if you’re required to pay for the return shipping label, automatic acceptance will only occur if you have not replied to the buyer return request within three business days.
I'm glad we had this chat because I was completely wrong on this and now I know. Thank you.

My hat is off to you and Jen and others that know, or can quickly find, all the policy details that keep changing. I can't seem to find anything anymore and have to rely on my memory ---which isn't what it used to be.

Oh boy, it sure isn't easy, I know exactly what you mean. But what I have found to be my best tool is GOOGLE. I have the hardest time finding what I need inside of Ebay's policy searches. But it is much easier if I just Google it. Faster, more information and usually far easier to locate stuff.

Ditto google. 100%. I always use google to locate policies. The help pages are an absolutely mess and drove me bonkers. Everything takes you in a bloody circle. Google is way faster.

But as Jen mentioned earlier, that policy then changed in the summer update so that labels would be automatically issued regardless of who was paying for return shipping. That opened the door for automatic labels for snads and for sellers that offered free return shipping. The only way to get around that is to require a RMA.

Thank you. YES. But the label is NOT released to the buyer right away IF the seller has their preferences set up to require an RMA and/or they have multiple return to addresses. Ebay must contact the seller to get that information before the actual label can be released.

Yeah, I got caught up in one of these returns. I got lucky and caught the buyer before they mailed it back and just issued the refund without a return.
Does anyone know for sure that if I've got the RMA option set up if that works under BR returns as well? I've got some stuff set up with free shipping/free returns that I'm totally not paying for shipping in both directions, even for a remorse return.
After the not-return last month I went and set up the RMA requirement (that was a pain to find) so that hopefully it will get caught before being automatically sent back.

YES. Ebay will notify you BEFORE the label is issued so that you can assign the RMA. You have a short window of time to respond or they will issue the label anyway.
It should be hard to find. It is logically located in your Site Preferences under Returns.
