hey guys,
need some advice here. i sold a video game for $15 and the buyer said that " my son accidentally bought the item and i didnt have time to cancel it" the buyer has 2 feedback. the game was shipped 12 hours after purchasing more then enough time to cancel the item i put in directly in my listing that i do not accept returns. i then received numerous messages asking to please take a return. i then noticed in the product details where i inserted the upc code that it change the region code to the game from NTSC to UPC. ( the game is NTSC). i have a feeling that the buyer is going to make an item not described case. what should i do what would you do?

Tell them to return the game and hope they pay for the return shipping.

If the region code is wrong you need to accept the return for refund or buyer will open a case and ebay will do it for you(which gives your account a defect)as it is on you to confirm listing info is correct before clicking list my item

@steelers6779 Since there is no return reason that covers "my son accidentally purchased it" to me the next best thing would be they changed their mind. Have them process a return in the Resolution center and tell them to use the reason changed their mind.
Once you get the item back you do not have to refund their original shipping, add them to your blocked list, relist when it arrives and move one.
Just as FYI ... don't use Returns not accepted, an INAD or SNAD claim trumps that, forces you to pay the return shipping and you get a not as described ding on your account.

So the item was not as described? Wait for his case to open. You may not accept returns, but you do give refunds for not as described.

UPDATE
thanks for the help. i am going to make the buyer do a return request and make them pay for return shipping then just strictly block them from buying again.

I had a return case filed just before the package arrived.
Reason: Ordered by Mistake
Comments: My kid ordered this without my permission
By choosing Ordered by Mistake, the buyer committed to paying the return postage.
Nothing happened for a week and then I get a message.
The buyer had no option to print a FREE return label on their end.
I explained that I was out the original postage and performed numerous unpaid labor tasks to ship this out, process the return and relist this.
I don't have the ability to change who pays for the shipping on my end and that if they contacted the eBay parent company and told them their story, maybe they would cover the return shipping, but I doubted it.
They should have deducted the money from their kids piggy bank or allowance and grounded them for a long time for misbehaving.
They replied back with thinly veiled cursing in capital letters that they would keep it.
Here is another example of a selfish buyer only too eager to screw the seller over.
As far as your UPC and NTSC non-issue goes, the buyer really should not open the package and not play with the game for a day or a few days.
Remember, this was an accident.

totally agree. its a $15 purchase like suck it up and move on drives me nuts. especially that the person had over 12 hours to realize a mistake was made...

Sadly, it does appear that manny people these days , do avoid taking responsibility & are not ashamed to pass a problem or issue onto another person to avoid suffering consequences for their actions.
