Why can't I select Media Mail?

Hi, I just created a listing and I'm not able to select media mail for the shipping service.  Any ideas on how I can fix it?

Normally I would agree, but this is my wheelhouse only music instead of politics. I listed some autobiographies in just books and though they sold they didn't bring much attention until I also added them into music memorabilia. It nearly quadrupled my views  and brought in much higher selling prices. But if you take them out of Books then the Media Mail option goes away.

I was able to select Media Mail when I created a listing.  Last night, I sold my item and now Ebay won't let me create a Media Mail label.   Now, I am taking my package to the Post Office to try and get it shipped Media Mail.  I am trying to ship Collectible Newsletters (paper).

Why does Ebay give you an option to add Media Mail to your listing, then they take it away when you want to print a shipping label??

Your newspapers don't qualify to be shipped by Media Mail no matter how old or collectible they are.

I totally agree with you. ebay is trying to be too sophisticated and screwing things up for sellers. All the new "updated" pages are missing options that were previously available.

I have been with the Post Office for 19 years. Newspapers DO NOT qualify for Media Mail. Newspapers are periodicals, they do not qualify no matter how old they are.

Did you select Flat Rate? I notice that media mail doesn't come up under any other designation.

Quick and easy -- sell with Free Shipping ($4 added to sell price) and mark as Economy Shipping.

Ebay makes this category distinction but PayPal does not.  If the item qualifies normally for media mail, print your label in PayPal.  You may want to add tracking to make Ebay all warm inside.

I found out also that when shipping a book I can't get to media mail and it was listed in collectibles.  I have to pring my media label through Paypal.
