I sell and ship out of St. Louis Missouri region. Yesterday I noticed my seller performance for items shipped on time with no carrier scan went from 100% to 97.3% in one swoop. It shows I have 49 packages, all sent on Monday the 16th have no carrier scans at all. I've messaged all of my customers and some have received their item, still shows zero scans all the way across the board. Some have not received their items yet. I went up to my local post office and talked to my post master. He said that I was the 20th person to come in and talk about this issue in the past couple of days and they have no idea why or what to do. I'm just wondering if any other sellers in different parts of the US are experiencing the same thing? It only happened this past Monday though, every other day shows normal scans. What this means is that I have no way of verifying if items are being delivered. I have no recourse with the USPS to file for lost packages. I will be out roughly $1500 just from Monday if I have to refund or send out replacements. What a mess!

There should be scans along the way, unless someone took something off a loading dock.....and the fact that some have been delivered probably negates that. Probably going to have to wait and see on the deliveries to see if/how much "damage" there may be.... I wouldn't start fighting the various aspects until you see what does/doesn't get delivered.

That's the thing, some have been delivered (verified from the buyers) and they show zero scans at all. And some have yet to be delivered and show zero scans. So I don't think they were taken off a loading dock as according to the post master, I was the 20th person to bring this to their attention in the past 2 days. That's a lot of people. The post master was beside himself as he can't figure out how they could possibly be delivered with not one scan at any place. We use a scan sheet when we drop off our packages, they scan it in front of us. Which is what they did on Monday. And none of them registered at all. It's a system glitch or something. The lady I spoke with last night said she just received her item and there is zero scans at all, origination and delivery.

That does suggest a system glitch, yes. It sounds like the packages tied to that SCAN sheet are somehow not getting logged with scans of their own barcode, even though they must be getting recognized as having originated with that SCAN sheet, as they would otherwise have gotten their own individual Acceptance record at the origin sort facility (which is what would have happened if the originating PO had not scanned anything at all).
I have not heard of this happening before. Maybe they can get it straightened out and updated internally. You know that at least some of the packages have already been delivered, so hopefully none of your buyers will make a stink about it (and don't contact any more of them, or you will give them the idea that you don't know where their package is).
What do you see on-line at USPS.com if you enter the SCAN sheet number in the tracking database?

So far I've had 6 buyers emailing me asking why it shows why tracking hasn't updated yet. I've had to explain the same thing over and over. What I'm afraid of is buyers opening item not received cases. This is 49 packages, so it would be an extremely large amount of people. So I'm trying to mitigate that with the possibility of them being actually delivered with absolutely no proof of such.
I do not have the scan sheet any longer as we hand it to the usps person and then they discard it. Do you know if I can reprint past ones? I'm trying to find where I'm able to do that but I can't find it. I didn't think about entering in that number. What a mess!! I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the next few days trying to get this all figured out. Thank you for your response.

Was the scan sheet created through eBay? Try this link-

I was able to hunt down the scan sheet. When I go to USPS it says it is unable to be tracked as it isn't a tracking number but a number for pick up. These weren't picked up but I'm guessing it goes by the same thing . I just had another person confirm they have not received their package yet. So that is 7 now.
