For you sellers that ship UPS heads up! I was told today that a claim was denied when package was inspected. Package was NEVER inspected. I suspect that any shipment valued at more than $100 is automatically denied. In my opinion this is fraud when they sell insurance that they have no intention of paying and then openly lie about it.

So you are making an assumption that the buyer is being truthful and UPS is lying?
When the buyer could be lying about having it inspected and the UPS could just be giving accurate information.

It was when dealing with USPS over a claim. I got the corporate number from a family member who got it from his Supervisor. This was a claim I wasnt backing down on and was prepared to go to the max because it was so unfair. I finally got a person at corporate who was honest and seemed to be sympathetic. She told me about the claim denials and then said she would deny ever saying it but that's the way it is. There was no where else to go after this unless I took it to the "Congressional" level.

Listen you are wasting your time. Accept the decision and move on. Nothing will happen. There are lots of insurance fraud claims being submitted and they are cracking down on it. This is something which has been fully reported and known. Be careful what you ship. Ship at your own risk.

That's correct.
