return to sender due to export compliance

For the last two weeks i have had 20 USPS international packages returned to sender.  All come back with a label." return to sender due to export compliance",  with a  box checked missing. but it does not say what is missing. The main post office has examined my labels  and can not find any problems. Several packages I re-mailed, but just get returned. Happens on  both 1st class and priority mail. i have mailed 1000 packages overseas, never had this problem. I called the USPS  international service, They have heard of this problem just recently occurring, but their only advise was to call the US customs department 1-877-227-5511.  That is pretty much a waste of

Yeah, 2 last week & 1 today returned like that. They have a "missing" label with no box checked to show what they thought was missing. In both cases local Postmasters could see nothing wrong and just resent the shipments. All mine were sent back from San Francisco, local P.O. said there was lots of email chatter about the problem and they are looking into it. These were all ebay printed labels with all the required info, I think someone in S.F. is misinformed on Postal regs

we all know you don't go from a history of a 1000 trouble free shipments of similar items, to  just about everyone getting returned, post office knows there is a problem, but they  just saying  my problem due to  the US customs.

exactly what is happening, same place. Looking at each returned label they are uniquely marked in the missing box, so many people are  instructed to do this there.

I am going to resend a package and one side,  write a big note to the customs people, asking  what is missing. so when it comes back in a week, hopefully a answer. What else are you going to do?

Same issue... sent 3 packages on 5/9 - 5/10 to Canada and all 3 came back as missing... All 3 were stop @ SF location. Spoke with usps manager and he had no clue as to what was the issue.. he said it was due to customs. Called US customs and they had no clue what the issue was... WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Is it an issue with ebay labels or customs.. Someone has to know what the issue is?

Have you tried to use another shipping carrier?

I'm in the same boat... sent out multiple packages and all returned. It just says missing.. I noticed on all of my labels that at the bottom where it declares the total, the quantity is at the top but not at the bottom. The dollar amount and weight are all at the top and bottom. The quantity amount is the only thing missing.. please check your labels to see if its the same.. if so, this is an ebay issue

@triplestuff

This comment in your listing “...ships worldwide. Custom forms value friendly”.

Are you falsifying the customs forms by entering a lesser value?

We are having the same experience as the OP.   Returned international shipments, items marked "missing", but nothing indicated.   Post office indicates from their scans of the labels, it looks fine.   SF customs rejecting though.

Something is definitely amiss in SF customs.

per the USPS and customs department, return  package to post office, fill out a paper customs form, they will re-mail free of cost. I have done this at 3 post offices, 2 were easy, one was a pain

Interesting. That would mean someone at ISC San Francisco did not recognize the ebay printed label (with customs form) as a customs form. I think they may have gotten this person straightened out, as of today out of my 3 returns that were resent 2 show "international dispatch ready" in tracking, never got that far before. The third has no tracking at all, think the postmaster mangled the bar code removing the "missing" label when she resent it. All were resent at no charge, hope they get where they're goin

Hi everyone, same problem here - can this be due to a missing tarrif number on the customs form? Did anyone here write a tarrif number in their info and still have the package come back?
