I sold an item and packed it, printed the label through eBay and put it in my mailbox with the flag up the same day. For two (2) days now the post office has delivered my main, in the same mailbox but not pick up my package. It only weighs 14 oz and has the new Post Office ground label. My post office closes at noon on Saturday but I don't get my mail until 1:00. The flag was still up and the package is still sitting there along with my mail that was delivered today. Any suggestions and is anyone else having this same problem?

we never know which carrier is delivering what day as it is now rare to have the same driver more than twice in one week.

I live in the country and our individual mail boxes are out at the road. I have been selling on eBay for many years and have never had this happen before. For some reason our local post office can't seem to keep help because we are constantly having new people deliver or we get no delivery at all.

I live in the country so running into town every day to mail one or two packages with the high price of gas is not the answer for me.

I have filed on line an am still waiting for an answer. When anyone goes to the local PO and asks for the post master the answer is always the same, "she's to busy to talk to today". Same answer you get if you ask to talk to your carrier or she/he has already gone home for the day. Plus they never answer their phone it just rings and rings.

She may be the one delivering your mail that day.

Some POs are so understaffed that supervisors, PMs, clerks, any warm body who happens to show up that day, may be delivering the mail. And sadly the attitude at some of these understaffed, overworked offices is that it doesn't have to get done right, it just has to get done. It sounds like you might be in one of those areas.

Where is this relocation program? Is it open to all USPS employees? At all locations? Really?

As for the flag thing being new to them, that policy is nationwide. All locations operate by the same rules and job descriptions. It's a requirement of all carriers.

It's not just you - I'm in a fairly large city in the Tampa bay area, and we don't have our regular carrier everyday either, most Saturdays, and some Thursdays, we don't get delivery at all. Believe me, I understand your frustration. When I brought this up to the local postmaster, I was told, "well, you're on an auxiliary route".

I don't think I have a regular carrier....I think I have 3. And sometimes I am not sure about even that when the mail comes at 4:00 - 6:00.

The carriers used to pick up from the mail box, don't know if these folks will. The old ones picked up, but didn't scan. When they got back to the PO, they went into the same cart the lobby bin mail was in. That cart was never scanned until it arrived at the sorting center.

I ship Monday/Wednesday/Friday and always seem to have an errand I need to do (or save them) on those days so I get two (or more) things done in one trip.
