I have been trying to get Ebay to address the ongoing issues with USPS picking-up packages and not scanning upon acceptance. I ship packages on the following day after purchase.
Many times the package is not scanned until "out for delivery". I am a top rated seller that is slowly loosing my rating because of the USPS Scanning Issue. I have called Ebay many times about this ongoing chronic issue. The only alternative is going to the post office and stand in line. I cannot sit in line for many minutes waiting to get my packages scanned. This situation is very disappointing. I see others with the same issue. Ebay really needs to address this seller related issue.

Several years ago, a new procedural bulletin was released by the new incoming Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, which he had ordered to be orally read to every USPS employee by their supervisors, to make sure that EACH employee fully understood the implications of the memo.
The memo provided new guidelines regarding how swiftly and efficiently the mail was to be delivered, and indicated that overtime hours would be slashed. The memo further stated that delivery trucks that had not completed their rounds within specific time periods must CEASE their deliveries, and return back to the loading complexes with the undelivered mail. Delivery drivers who repeatedly were unable to complete their routes would be disciplined.
In scattered areas of the country, different post offices began cutting time by eliminating services, in order to get as much daily mail delivered as possible. Amongst the reported "cost cuts" was package scans, as well as refusal to scan packages over a certain unspecified maximum number. Some post offices refused to honor the scan forms, while other post offices seemed to be making up new "rules" randomly.
So, in all likelihood, some post offices are still trying to please DeJoy, by cutting back on services, in order to be seen more efficient with mail delivery.
And, despite a 2023 Congressional investigation into poor USPS delivery services in my neck of the woods (Minneapolis and St. Paul), our USPS deliveries have once again slipped back to 4-1/2 days a week, with Mondays noticeably becoming "skip days" again.
Complaining to eBay seems to be a waste of time, as is complaining to USPS.
Go outside and yell at the stars -- same result.

@carlmarxx wrote:Yes they do tell you it is part of the service !And I can confirmed it ! Since I have had had currently got confirmation that yes The USPS employee's are required to scan the tracking in! this is what the Agent at the 6th office Of USPS consumer services for Southern California which is in my neck of woods told me .
Can you quote me somewhere that they advertise it part of the service?
It appears wastingtime showed an expectation of internal policy, however you making the claim that it's advertised to the customer.
Can you show proof of that ?
Basically I'm seeing it as simply employee's not following policy, however it's not advertised so as customers we can't expect it to happen.
