Whenever I buy a shipping label on eBay for an order, it automatically deducts the amount of the shipping label charge from my PayPal account. If my paypal account is zero, it then starts to deduct it from my bank account. How can I set it up so that I charge my credit card instead?

Well Pay pal is all over the place. Sunday I made 2 offers and had had eBay auto pay selected PP, the seller accepted when I was offline and the funds were deducted from my bank account.
I have preferred payment set in this order, Pay pal balance, then bank account, then cr card. I had way more than enough in Pay pal balance (it even states we will use your available PP balance 1st) so I have no idea why PP used my bank account and not my available funds.
Glitch on a Sunday? I deleted my eBay auto pay link to PP until I can figure out what happened.

they still insisted that the cash balance would be used first and then the rest via the debit card.
I can see that,.
The cash balance is money in their hands -- on Hold.
The debit card is real money in your bank-- and you have given them permission to deposit and draw from that account.
Paypal is a different company and the transaction may take more time. Whether more time is five seconds or five days I couldn't guess, but computers or not, it's never instantaneous.
But boy is it annoying.

Note: I did not know that they'd pull from your PayPal balance first... and still don't know for certain as I don't keep one.

Preapproved Payments / Automatic Payments
Some sellers allow you to store PayPal as the payment method to use whenever making purchases on their site. Often, this entails creating an agreement with the seller, where you give the seller permission to pay using PayPal every time you make a purchase.
...
Your preferred payment method for an automatic payment agreement will be used for transactions with that seller. If you have available balance in a linked PayPal Balance account, that balance may be used before your preferred payment method.

The problem seems to be with how you have it set up on here, not on Paypal. Here's a thought. When you go to print a label, scroll down to the bottom of the print label page and you will see two options (in the attached photo). Click on "your funds" and then "select a different payment method." When I click on that I'm shown my saved accounts and cards on here. You can choose your credit card from there to have the funds charged to your CC. If it isn't there, then you can add it under your payment options, at the account level.

@gloryglorygifts problem with that is they (ebay) ALSO takes from 'Pending Funds' first.. THEN from your 'backup'...since I ALWAYS have pending funds as I sell something almost daily (many days, multiple sales) and the 'label' cost being taken from those funds is a whole 'other' line item in the books to keep track of.

Canadian ebay labels don't have the option to pay with Paypal or any other option. It is automatically taken from our available funds. If there are no available funds then it takes it from a credit card or bank account, depending on what we have designated for our 'selling costs.'

Since MP came into play, I don't think there's really any way to get around that and have a CC be your preferred method. Unfortunately they only give us the two options and yours is set to PP. Like you, I pretty much get sales every day so the next one I get I'm going to try using that "select a different payment method," and see how it handles the transaction. I have my payouts set to daily and deposited within 30 minutes into a CA, so I'm interested to see how it works.
Have you tried adding the CC to your paypal account and using it to fund a label when you print it? I know when you purchase something on another site that they will direct you to PP and ask you which funding source to use. Add it as a source and then look into your autopay for ebay and make sure it is the default payment. You may want to severe that other paypal account from it as well, so it isn't putting funds in there.
Other than that, I have no other suggestions.

Create a USPS account and you can print labels directly from them. Though you can't do first class. I think there is another venue people use like stamps.com that you can do first class( I am not 100% sure about them though never used them).

Set up a Pirate Ship account, and link your credit card to that. many benefits. Great customer service, you can use their simple export rate, which is way cheaper then what is available on Ebay, you will also be able to get cubic priority and cubic ground advantage rates, earn cash back when you pay Pirate Ship.
