Here we go again on UPS shipping adjustments

Just received a $5.68 shipping adjustment from eBay for a UPS adjustment from an item that was mailed on October 30th. Package dimensions were correct. My actual ship weight was 5 pounds but UPS is saying it was 11 pounds??? This was a package from Central Texas to Oklahoma so that should not have been an issue. I use eBay shipping labels and trust that the pricing is correct. I am not sure how this happens two weeks later but this is a concern especially when most sellers are shipping more for the holiday season. It makes me wonder if the adjustment happened because after my ship date, most shippers raised their prices but this shouldn't have had an effect before the price increase was in place. Hoping eBay keeps a close tab on this as this adjustment made this sale a loss for me.

Same here. I received three today. All for an additional $5.68 cents. It seems the discount that is being given to eBay sellers, is being removed by UPS.

You got off easy.  A few weeks ago a seller got billed for over 1200.00 from Fedex.    None of us ever know what it will cost.

Same here, have been shipping vinyl albums media mail for years and USPS decided to deliver a CD in 6X9 bubble envelope as a Priority Medium Flat Rate Box.

$10.56 upcharge to my order

Buyer confirmed it was delivered still marked media mail USPS

Filed dispute and waiting for Monday to get an answer as it will be 15 business days then

That's typically an easy one to get fixed.

Most likely got scanned on top of a flat rate box.

The APV system is automated.

Automation isn't perfect but once they check the camera they reverse the fee.

I think this is one of the problems, eBay is not keeping tabs on this for us.  We assume (our bad), that we are getting fair and true rates, but we aren't.  Stop using FedEx and UPS via ebay.  I think you'd be better of taking your package to a FedEx & UPS store, pay their retail rates and be done with it.  The discounts we get don't seem to be happening

I wish the overcharge were reversed but have not seen that happen.

I totally agree.  And then you know for sure what you're paying.

It's nice they reverse a fee *IF* you can figure out how to file for it and *if* someone goes back and sees it was an automation error but then you're working hard and wasting time trying to actually earn what you already had coming!
