All of a sudden I'm not able to select the "Ebay Standard Shipping" option for coins and collectibles even though I'm in the right category/price range/shipping weight/size, etc. This has never been an issue before. Is anyone else experiencing this issue at the moment? Just wondering if it's a site issue or something else. Thanks!

I had the same problem today, first low value coin came up regular USPS First Class Label the second low value coin came up Media Label on both items the ebay standard envelope is grayed out. I contacted customer service through live chat was told it's a major glitch IT is working to get it fixed. They told me it be 24-48 hours depending how severe the glitch is. I told them I am suppose to ship within a day so either I will get dinged for late shipping or if I mail with just a stamp for not uploading tracking either way ebay will not protect the seller in this matter. Customer service stated I can always print out the USPS First Class Label for only $ 3.70 and mail it out today. I stated for an item for $ 4.99 with free shipping and giving 12 % for ebay fees. What kind of math is the customer representative doing 🙂 . I have had problems in the past, they never was able to fix the already sold items after 48 hours they told me either send it USPS First Class or cancel the order and relist. I don't have much hope that I am going to be able to print standard label in 48 hours. Good Luck everybody

I was away on Holiday and came back and was able to purchase eBay Standard envelope for all my orders from the last few days - woke up this morning and had 2 orders to print labels and could not use Standard envelope. Called Support and he gave me the run around about me having "Roll" in my coin description and I told him it was working fine last night on the same auctions so why not this morning? He put in a IT ticket.

I have 300 and so auctions using the envelope they better get it fixed!! Not paying $3.50 shipping for a $2.99 coin when shipping to the customer is free!

*Same here - NOT working* Have tried several different ways, looking for work a arounds, Earlier this morning, I was able to do one. I have many orders to mail out by tomorrow. 😞

Thank you for posting that at least eBay knows……this newest issue is on top of a nest full of other bugs in the program, but this is the first time I’ve been completely UNable to get a eBay standard envelope. I agree with your math example, makes no sense to use a USPS full priced label when the listings sold factor in the cost of mailing.

Thank you, glad I'm not the only one. I currently have 9 coins to ship out, and I can't select standard envelope on any of them! Thankfully it's a holiday so hopefully it's fixed either later today or tomorrow. I was able to ship via standard envelope as of Saturday (Sept 3rd). Can still select it as a shipping option on new listings so I'm guessing it's a bug.

Also having this issue - I have a coin that sold for under $20, is in the coins category, and weighs less than 1 oz. Just finished chatting with a CS rep - he initially told me I couldn't use standard envelope for the category the item was listed in (which is a sub-category in coins). I told him I disagree and sent the link to the ebay standard envelope page and asked him where on that page it said certain coins or paper money didn't qualify. He then suddenly said that they are having an issue with standard envelope and hope to have it resolved "shortly", and that "together we could persevere through this issue" 🙄. If you have a technical problem, that's one thing, but please don't blame the sellers who had their items correctly listed and tell them that it didn't qualify - what a terrible business practice that is!

Same issue here - option for eBay Standard Envelope grayed-out when creating a new label. I also noticed a problem yesterday when creating new listings - eBay have modified the webpage, shipping section, with drop-down selections for shipping options - no eBay Standard Envelope option showing up. However, I use frequently use 'sell similar' to start a new listing from a previous or current one, and some of those did have the standard envelope as the default.... perhaps because the listing I copied it from had it?

Chatted with eBay agent for about 1/2 hour, he said they were aware of the bug and created a new ticket - said I would be notified when fixed (not holding my breath!).

These kinds of responses are not unusual for a number of eBay reps. They may be trained to say some of those things actually. Don't know for sure. But I've heard stuff like that before. For example, "issue X is only affecting labels for Puerto Rico" just as I brought up an issue re: some shipping issue concerning mailing items to Puerto Rico. Later on we found out that there was no solution/resolution. No fix the reported issue. Days later! I think it was more technical than what they thought. In the end, we had to figure out a workaround which made the whole thing quite annoying but at least the buyer got what he/she needed.

What was the category of the item you were able to print the label for? I've only had success with Coins/Canada/25 Cents sub. Sales for coins in any other sub (US, Netherlands, etc) have not worked for me since Sep 1. That's as far as eBay standard envelope is concerned. USPS First Class, Priority Mail labels are printing just fine regardless of category.

I suppose if it isn't fixed today, I will have to buy some stamps and hand address them. Could be a long morning. Get dinged on tracking and shipping time.

Ditto for me this morning here in Alaska. Yesterday (Sunday PM), I was able to use Standard Envelope for an outgoing coin. Exactly same set up this morning, and now the Standard Envelope is greyed out. I tried several different options (changing weight, size, bulk shipping, etc) and no pathway enabled Standard Envelope. I will wait until Tuesday afternoon and see if bug is fixed. Otherwise, will use just a regular stamp for a low value coin.
