"Too many requests" ????????

For most of the past day and a half every time I try to access these boards or respond to a post I get a message "Too many requests".

????????????

I managed to get access once and I tried to post this and as soon as I clicked "post" I was kicked our.

And yes I was properly logged on.

Does seem to be working OK now. Any ideas what happened?

No ideas. But it was a pain in the ... Cleared cache and cookies and still got the message. After that I figured it wasn't on my end. Got on this evening and haven't had a problem yet.

Re: "Too many requests" ????????

It was a problem with the actual forum - Khoros was working on it. My suspicion is that it was a server problem with a rate limit error.

Yep. I was getting it too. Googled and came to the conclusion it wasn't me it was ebay.

Re: "Too many requests" ????????

Yeah, I realized it was an issue on their end when I tried accessing the forums from my phone on my phone data rather than wi-fi and ran into the same thing.

My IT contact says the "server cannot keep up with incoming requests", which means too many people are accessing the forum at once, or there's not enough resources to handle all the requests.

I got it a number of times while reading the forum last night, and decided just to do something else for the evening.

Re: "Too many requests" ????????

Maybe  some irate eBay user who got "pink-slapped" by Khoros and launched a denial-of-service attack?

Re: "Too many requests" ????????

Myself and a number of others had same problem.

Haven't tried my luck as of yet today.

Not only was I having those problems, but with trying to access photos....wasn't even loading them.  Messaging system not working.   Was just a number of glitches.

Why is it called "pink slapped"? I'm assuming this is some slang term for suspension from the forum.
