(Too late to edit.)

I'm using the desktop version with a Windows 10 OS and a Chrome browser.

I got one of the "Authentication Failure" error messages. Naturally, I failed to take a snip of it. 😏

So, you and I appear to have gotten different error messages . . .

I have been getting them messages for a few months.  I will get the Hyperlink Error message.  Sometimes I can identify the Hyperlink and remove it.  Other times I do not find a Hyperlink.

I take the Post flooding detected to means you tried to repost to quick/too many times and need to wait a hour and try again.

When I have any of the errors that will not go away, I save what I wrote and then completely shut off The eBay Community by closing the Internet browser and then re-open The eBay Community.  Then paste the info back into the discussion and this has always fixed the issue.  Takes just a few moments, have never had to wait the 3600 seconds.

That's not the issue comics-scifi-collectibles and I are posting about. We're posting about the error messages we're receiving when trying to start a new discussion from the community home page.

There have already been a number of threads about the post-flooding error when trying to submit a comment that you're referring to. We're discussing a different issue.

I just tested this out myself and wasn't able to replicate. I tried posting on a few boards and the post, posted.

Was there a specific board, that you were posting on, that this was happening on?

I'll try it again later, when I have more time.

Do you think you did anything differently this time? Something that made it work correctly?

I think I edited my response AFTER you'd read it. Long story.

@pburn   Did you give it a "label" on the right-hand box?  I hate the label selection by the way.   It feels very clunky and not intuitive this way.

No--and that's why I deleted my previous comment. After I looked more closely at my own screenshots, I saw the label requirement, so I scrambled to get my post edited. I haven't bothered to go back and try it again.

So, did you NOT add the label the first time--and got the error(s)--and then added it the second time and it worked?

@pburn. Yes.   My problem was pure user error.    Lol.

I'll go hang my head in shame now.

Oh, no . . . I'm sure that's what I was doing wrong, and probably what the person in the other thread was doing wrong.

So did you actually successfully post a thread somewhere by using the "Start a Discussion" button on the community home page?

@pburn. Yes I picked selling and it went to the q and a

I think that the labels just are not needed if we are selecting a board.
