What happened to threads appearing in a chronological type order? They seem to be all willy nilly or is it me?

I posted about it yesterday and they moved my thread. I guess it's been reported for awhile now & not fixed, but since they move the threads talking about it I didn't realize that. 🙄

Right above the top post is a grey box that has a 'sort'- is yours set as 'most recent'?? (other types will be willy nilly if you are expecting 'most recent'

Thank you. How the heck did something like that get changed??? Now I'm even wondering more.

YES I noticed this night-before-last. Threads stopped bumping to the top as a result of getting replies .... or not consistently anyway (some DID behave as normal, making it all the more impossible to detect a pattern). And @stainlessenginecovers even the original start date/time of posts did not sort their feed placement according to 'most recent.' Utter chaos would appear to be the new sheriff in town. 🤣
I haven't taken a look since then, but @toysaver if you say it's still all wonky, I believe you.

Even the answers aren't in order. I swear, I don't imbibe.

I don't think anything got changed, just that the setting doesn't work now.
Take a look. I have mine set to Most Recent (as I always have). But at the time I took this screenshot, the top (non-pinned) did NOT have the most recent reply. Nor was it more recent as an OP.

Hi everyone,
This seems to be a common concern lately, and it’s definitely frustrating when threads don’t appear in the expected order. Let’s break this down:
As @stainlessenginecovers mentioned, right above the thread list, there’s a sorting option in a gray box. Make sure it’s set to Most Recent. If it’s set to anything else, like "Most Popular," the threads may appear out of order.
This could also be part of a technical issue affecting the forums. It seems that even with the correct sorting selected, threads aren’t consistently updating based on replies or the original post’s timestamp. This has been reported before, and it may require further attention from eBay’s technical team.
If you’re still experiencing issues despite using the correct settings, here’s how you can escalate it:
Until this issue is resolved, you might consider manually checking threads by their reply timestamps or using the search function to locate recent activity.
It’s clear this is a pain point for many of us in the community, so let’s hope eBay addresses it soon.

@selforfun Are you the same (human) Community member who wrote this post last month?
Just wondering, because there^ you sounded like a human and did human stuff like make a few spelling and grammar errors, whereas today you're all:

Just wondering if maybe you're a machine that accidentally got hold of this member's account somehow, and maybe we should contact them via their platform messaging to let them know.

It looks to me like possibly someone plugging the OP's question into an AI Help screen, then copy-and-pasting the answer in here.
