Just read thru most of weekly chat on 6bit/TL..... suggestions for when the chats are subject specific.
Put some basic info upfront........i.e. links to such things as (in this case)
the $15.95 program explanation
Various videos with info
Applicable chat rooms
Have sample screenshots of things like a basic 6 bit listing page.......
When you are dealing with people who have absolutely no idea what the product is......they need something to "see" to be able to intelligently ask questions and to get an idea of how it's different.....otherwise so much of what is discussed is "why" versus "how".
Also, I think, while trying to be gentle and nice......a flat statement upfront that it was announced 2 yrs ago TL was going and it will be gone, might have deterred some of the "arguments" for retaining...and IF there had been something of interest to look at pertaining to 6 bit, the tide might have turned into well, how can I do this, as opposed to lamenting the demise.
I've been to other of the "informational chats" and always come away disappointed because the chat devolves into gripes because, I think, there is no opening information on the subject..... We are expected to question to get information when the information could be a starting point.
just some thoughts
