Seeing issues with the new Community platform?

Thank you for helping us catch those bugs! While we did work hard to make sure we caught any issues before we released the new changes to the Community, there might be some issues that we didn’t catch. If you find any issues, please post them only here. The Community team will be actively monitoring this post and we’ll work as fast as we can to get them resolved. No need to @ mention us, if you post here.

 

Be sure to include links to the pages, screenshots, which browser you’re using and other relevant information you can share.

I can only last about two minutes and I feel a headache coming on from the glaring white...seriously.  Adding to the weirdness that is happening...I was following a thread and the posts seemed outdated. I looked at the user ID and it was a post from castlemagicmemories dated 2016!!! He\she hasn’t posted in years. I hope eBay will enable “classic view” for this mess.

So, someone named Sheila replied to my earlier post regarding an issue. She said she would get back to me on Monday so I thanked her in advance in case I can't find her reply.  So here it is Monday and I cannot find those posts, or her reply if there is one. We are on a different page now and it is God knows where because they are not sorted by time, the pages are not numbered, and search does not work.

When Khoros redesigned its own community forums a few years ago, one user suggested there was too much white space. Note the official response:

@community_team here's a couple simple example of a UX mistake in the redesign. Old site of you moved your cursor over the notifications icon a window popped up with recents now you have to click to a new page.

 

This is sloppy design as it forces wasted clicks and of course wait times. 

 

Similar to the summary. Used to show your summary of activity on the page now a click through. Goal in a redesign should be efficiency games not added clicks. If these design changes were made to improve someone's metrics (like say khoros getting page view expansions) then shame on whoever.

@community_team another UX issue that is a holdover from old version. If you are strolling down load more, load more, click on a link and the click back in the browser it take you back only to the original thread on the page not the length of the list you open. Very frustrating since you need to scroll down, scroll down, scroll down to find where you were. Other site that use this method have a way of getting you back to where you were so can't be to hard. Alternative show thread by page so you can page through.

I was here looking for some news as well regarding the same.  Take note.  This is page 33.  Nobody on here at the moment but you and me.  Come back, start at page 33 unless they make page 33 a blank box in the pagination display below.  If that happens just start at the end and work backwards to page 33.

Page 33?  I see you on Page 22?  Uh, oh!  Another glitch?  Or I am doing something wrong? (missing 11 pages!) 🤔 Or maybe I'm not worthy of seeing several posts, so my list whittles down to 22 pages????

@dhbookds    Please disregard my post #323 (or whatever number it is depending on your device).  I have been shown the error of my ways and calculations by loveyourimagination49.   I stand corrected.  

After all they never did specify "what Monday" ??????  A Monday in this month?  A Monday in this year?  
I give up.   Maybe I should call customer service.

That is funny...now I will just go away.  Have another look at Elvis and Bob the eBay seller to check the seller board one more time for errant hijacked accounts and cheap trinket scams.   No telling what freaking page it is, or what Monday?

Could you imagine trying to find a particular post in eBay's answer to War & Peace..Questions and Answers on Managed Payments, without losing one's mind? Wasn't it at like 1300 posts?

 

Right about now I would be thrilled just to have the link back at the top of the page to escape and get back to my Sellers Hub in 1 quick click!!!

I think that the page numbers might be different if you are on a computer or a phone...eBay's mobile app might have a different configuration causing the difference???

 

...Or it just might be yet another glitch...oh yay!

I'm now on page 7 -- I have my settings set for a bunch of posts per page.

 

Did you see the list of three or so things they fixed?   Thank goodness they fixed the helpful switching to kudo glitch.  wow, now we are getting somewhere...
