There was a 2 on my "bell" … when I click it … I get this ….

 

On Chrome, on Edge and on Kindle Silk.

 

Where did all of my notifications go?

I did NOT get a "mentioned" or a "responded" notification for this post.

 

I only saw your response when I came back to the board to look.

I've noticed Notifications have not been working correctly (or sometimes at all) for the past few weeks.  Originally when I started posting they seemed to be working OK and synched up.  Currently only some of the Notifications appear to be showing up on the feed and in the count.

As of April 6, 1019, I'm still having issues with mine. I actually have to go directly to messages and/or seller hub to see if I have anything going on. Occasionally the bell will show "all caught up" and I will find that I have an order or message that needs attention.

I'm having issue with the bell on Ebay itself. The bell here in the community seems to be working fine for me. Is the notification bell on Ebay and in the community ran with the same software? The issue I am having on Ebay is the notification bell does not sync properly with my seller hub. Sometimes it shows "All caught up" when I actually have messages/orders to deal with and sometimes it shows that there are orders/messages that I have already dealt with. Thank you for any response.

Hi everyone,

 

There is an issue with the bell in the header (very top of the page) here on the Community platform. It is not syncing with the eBay marketplace. I'm working on it with doug@ebay. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Alan

 

Notifications are still intermittent, not synched up and sometimes stop working.  I provided some specifics for you in another thread and will continue to track this.  The Bell is definitely not tracking all of the Tags and Notifications.

 

My thoughts are there are a lot of posts here at Community Boards and the system doesn't have the bandwidth to handle all of them (especially with all of the GTC posts).  Seems to start in the afternoon and get worse late in the day and evening, when more members are posting.  The Feed also stops sometimes in the early evening and doesn't start-up again until early AM (and I have confirmed I should have been Tagged in the evening).  This also falls in-line with a bandwidth issue, as many post in the evening.

For some reason... I never got a notification (bell) that you replied to me.

In fact, it seems I no longer get notifications when others reply.

Its hard to tell when there aren't notifications.

I've called 4 times about the notification issue.
There customer service is USELESS ... INCLUDING THE SUPERVISORS.
You get disconnected and they don't call you back and they have the phone # in front of them...
Wish they had surveys after the phone calls, probably have a good reason...
They don't want to see 10 ZEROS IN A ROW.

eBay CS has nothing to do with, or any control over Lithium platform eBay community forum notification issues.

Hi @lindyslucky

Are you 'subscribed' to the threads? You'll only receive a notification if you subscribe to a thread or if a user @mentions you in their post. If you are not subscribed and a member responds you will not receive a notification. 

 

You can change your settings so that you're automatically subscribed to all threads you reply to:
