New font pretty much unreadable for anyone with poor eyesight

The new font on these boards is so thin and so faint that I must enlarge it to the maximum and then can still barely read it.  I have failing eyesight and this does not work for anyone in my situation.  I can maximize the size, then select all the text in a post, make it boldface, and read it fairly well -- but I doubt I'll go to that much trouble.

Too bad that readability took second fiddle to fashion in selecting a default font for these boards..

Okay.  Now the font is back to what it used to be.  Must have been something with my own browser or settings.  Now the weird faint font is gone.

@maxine*j, there appears to have been a community update this morning, that hasn't worked out well with Chrome, or with the latest update of Firefox. Some users are seeing major format issues with the community.

I had format issues with Chrome but was able to fix them by deleting recent cookies.

The only thing that is still lingering for me is the new font, which is very hard to read. A skinny sans serif font that is too faint against the blinding white background. I have adjusted my screen brightness, but my eyes are having trouble focusing on it, and keep sliding out of focus.

Maxine, did you making any changes before the font reverted for you?

So, unfortunately, it's not fixed for everyone.

Everything is back to normal for me, thank goodness.  The only way I could read that thin, faint font  well enough to use the boards was to maximize the size with CTRL and +, then select all the text I wanted to read, and then change it to boldface.   And I wasn't going to do that for long, I can tell you, so I'm glad it has righted itself for me.  (For now, at least.)

I'm not seeing anything different @maxine*j, so I think I got lucky! I know that sheila@ebay saw it this morning too. It's probably related to the Khoros maintenance window, but we're checking with them to see why it happened and if we can avoid it in the future.

It righted itself for me awhile ago, happily, and all is back to usual.  However, I believe some others are still seeing that thin, faint font.

I had fixed the major format glitch by deleting cookies, but the faint font was lingering on.

When I saw that some people were reporting it had gone away, I tried clearing cookies again. Just deleting eBay cookies didn't fix it, I had to delete all cookies from the last hour again. Having done that, I can read the font here again without the severe eye strain.

I updated, rebooted Firefox.........print still seems small to me (110%).....also I'm still getting this.......no big deal, I guess..........

Thanks @dhbookds - isn't 'widget' such a funny word? Maybe it's just been a very long week...

I'll get this added to our open ticket with Khoros about the fonts!

lol, yes widget does bring a smile............to me it's something tangible that I can hold in my hand......  but I'm often confused by Tech Speak (and California Speak)

Hi all,

We had one tiny update that went out this morning which was swapping out 'New Solutions' with ' Unanswered Questions'. Font is static so that should not have impacted the font on the Community. Yes, I did see the change in font as well and I still see the font differences on other pages.

I'm working Khoros to find out what's going on and get the font fixed asap. Please just hang in there for a little while.

I have great eyesight and it's still awful..

It was fine for me until about 15 mins ago and now it's a hot mess.

I have glasses with bifocals...very hard to read!  Lots of white with tiny gray letters are not a good combination.

There had been an issue with post titles not switching to nonbold after being read, well now all the titles are nonbold.

I am not seeing any bold titles so it appears everything has been read.

Or of there is a difference it's nearly undetectable. 

I know that's confusing so I hope it made sense.
