Some very serious problems here with the forum being unresponsive. For those of us with DSL, it takes 3 to 8 minutes for the field to become ready before the text can be entered.

That's not on the forum side nor likely you're DSL connection (albeit it could be you're DSL). It's likely settings somewhere on what you use as software, browser, malware, proxy if used etc.

I use DSL and have not noticed anything like what you described. Just now the message field popped up immediately.

I also use DSL. I have not noticed any delays at all either. It could be that your phone company is slowing your connection speed.

You are on a faster connection. Those of us who use DSL have an excessively slow experience. The web site programmers should have known that and made the site operate on all systems and all the popular browsers. It's called Beta Testing.

I use DSL.
Have you ran a speed test on your DSL connection?
If you are having trouble running ebay and the community there is a problem with your PC or your internet connection.

Any difference if you try another browser?
Lots of different things can cause a page to be unresponsive or slow loading.

My DSL just tested at these speeds:
DOWNLOAD 2 Mbps
UPLOAD 637 Kbps
That's not really fast but it's plenty of bandwidth for things like ebay and the community.
I can watch videos and most other online tasks with no glitches too.

You could try a fresh browser installation...you could download a different browser than what you are currently using just to try.
Opera and Vivaldi are good ones that function similarly to Chrome.

Our DSL was slow and "interrupted alot", called the provider........they determined the router was old........was replaced.........and now no problems..........
