Hello everyone!
I wanted to let you know that Khoros is aware of the intermittent issues where avatars, feedback scores and listing have gone missing. I know that this is impacting some users or all users. It's not a fun experience!
There's an issue with one of Khoros' servers. I don't have an ETA on when this will be fixed but I'am pushing to get this fixed sooner than later.

It's fine to add it here @buyselljack2016! We're aware and it's also been reported to Khoros. Thanks for reaching out though. We're hopeful the pending update will be fixing many things, not just the avatar, Feedback score, etc. issues.
Hi velvet@ebay. We're just over a day away from the Weekly Chat, so can you please ping Khoros for a detailed response on where things are at by then, so that we can begin the Chat with an update rather than just another plea from users for details? A date for when the pending update will be rolled out will be helpful.
"We're working on it" is not a valid response. "We hope to have more to report next week" is not a valid response. This has been known for weeks, so it will help to learn what has been done so far, what has been tested (successfully or otherwise), whether anything is needed from the eBay side, etc. (As the missing data all resides on eBay, it's pretty obvious that this is a retrieval issue, but that's more of a symptom than a diagnosis.)
eBay is presumably paying Khoros for this Community software, so you have a right to something more than vague acknowledgements and no obvious signs of progress. Please hold their feet to the fire a bit more, and let us know tomorrow afternoon what you've been able to learn about the current situation. Some of us out here in IT Land might even be able to rattle cages at either Khoros or eBay, if we could just get a better idea of where things stand. Thanks!
Hey @a_c_green! I don't have an update to provide at this time but we're continuing to work with Khoros to get things resolved, and when we have additional news to share, we'll be sure to do so.

Maybe it's time to find a provider with different priorities?

When I accidently clicked into some old threads from 2019 some user's post have the Avatar displayed with working listings and feedback score links next to their name. (You can look at my profile and see the oldest thread I created.)
Someone who works on the software should be able to make a comparison of the page codes to identify the bug and develop a fix in a matter of hours not months.
This obviously is not being treated with any urgency. They can't stick one person on this issue for a couple hours?

The way it was explained to me is that when you sign in with Khoros, they touch base with eBay to pick up the links to info like your avatar, feedback profile, and listings. Or, that's how it used to work. If you go to an old post, anybody who has logged in since the glitch hit will still show all the info. This supports the contention that the problem is due to something that was done on eBay's side, preventing access to this information.
Here's the oldest thread on this board, with plenty of examples. Apparently doug@ebay hasn't signed in since September 30, 2021, and you can see his info. If he signs in to into the board to respond to this post, it will probably disappear.

That makes sense. Now that I looked at my old thread where the user has an avatar and feedback score their feedback number displayed is much lower than what their actual number is on ebay today.
Since it's ebay's problem it will never be fixed. I think I am done with the Community forum anyway.

Who is that, anyway? I saw that tweet of hers from 2 years ago that you posted to the Weekly Chat, apparently showing her out drinking with eBay contacts. Now she seems to have turned her attention to Amazon.

Hey, that's great! Lol! May I steal that one?

Help yourself. I shamelessly stole it myself. From someone who had shamelessly stolen it from somebody else.
This is the internet! There's nothing original on it anymore!😆

@a_c_green Katherine Calvert is the Chief Marketing Officer at Khoros.

Okay, thanks.
"Less Drinking, More Work" might be a good corporate Mission Statement at the present time.

I'm all for whatever it takes to get the right people in a room together to get this sorted out....they can have the drink tickets when we get our avatars back. 😉

In case Khoros need help- this is my avatar. From Sept 22nd he has been missing, that is very concerning - 36 days is unacceptable for a fix of this issue. How could something that has worked for 25 years suddenly baffle technicians at Khoros ?
As for the trialing in Australia first, ''so close they can almost see the avatars'' ppffftttt - well we sure ain't seeing them and we are IN Australia, can't get much closer than that.

Friday morning on the west coast and another week gone with zero progress.
I know if I was paying for this "service" there would be a huge charge back ....
No news is not good news in this case. Can we get a status besides "it is being worked"?

I don't have a meaningful update to share this week. Fixing this issue is complicated and will take time to fix. I absolutely hate giving this type of update, but hopefully I'll have a better update to give next week. Thanks for hanging in there while we working on fixing this.
I'll share another update next Friday or sooner if I have more information to share.

Thanks for the update. Completely Unacceptable response from Khoros.
