In touting its faux "Prime Day", Ebay has gone to the naughty vocabulary. I don't care, but funny how that word can't be used here on the forum.

Hypocritical if we get bleeped here. Looks to me the go ahead and use it is now condoned by ebay. Thanks ebay! You gave me something I actually like, surprise surprise, it's kick-ass!
This is tomorrow's banner.

I stopped dead and stared at it with my jaw on the ground. Further down the page they repeated it.
How gauche... what are you, eBay... four years old?

Sherry,
You kicked ass with that one.
I did write too hastily. In the second example, "ass" is not a verb; it is a direct object noun. In other words, "kick" is the verb.
Hmm....haven't tried the present continuous verb form: kicking ass
(asskicking is a common noun)
Edit: YAY! They all kick ass !

Oh my--I am just glad they did not say Kick-Tush. I stared at it this morning and truly do not know what to think except somewhat shocking.

I suspect this whole thread will get an asskicking and disappear.

Well, of course it is 'professional'!
I mean, besides this being 'ebay', can you imagine how much they had to PAY for someone to come up with that?!?!?!?!?!? That team probably got the monthly citation/award for originality.

"With free shipping, always."
That's outright fraud with that statement. eBay PUSHES "Free Shipping" to all of it's buyers and sellers but eBay owns NONE of the product for sale (even if they seem to think so) and it's the seller's decision to offer free shipping or not. eBay trying to make buyers think they're buying from "eBay".
And you know why they push free shipping? So they can give falsely inflated sales reports to Wall Street, etc. The full amount of an item with free shipping counts toward eBay's sale total. If it's an item with a shipping charge, eBay can only count the item price as the sale total. So in reality they are adding all of that money the seller pays on shipping charges toward an eBay sale. It would be different if eBay actually owned any of the product and shipped anything themselves, but they don't. They're over-inflating their real sales numbers by $hundreds of millions a year pushing Free Shipping. There's no such thing as "Free Shipping". Anyone go to the Post Office and tell them eBay says this package is Free Shipping? No, I didn't think so.
Their obsession with Amazon is showing. They're trying to copy everything they do and then trying to compete with them at the same time? Never gonna work.

There are actually at least a couple of actual grown folks curse words that are not filtered here, and yet the kindergarten curse word **the fish** is filtered.
