I've been able to sign on using Laptop, Windows 10 using Edge for years, until 2 days ago. Now can only 'sign on' using Chrome. In edge, clicking the 'person' icon, it just blinks and goes right back. Anyone know what's up?

I'm using Windows 11 with Edge without issues.
Maybe your browser needs to update or
Try clearing cookies and history.

I can't login on my phone with Chrome, but I can with my phone's native browser. Haven't tried a computer.

If you can sign in successfully using an InPrivate Edge browser window, try clearing your browser cache and manually delete just your eBay cookies.

@eburtonlab I'm not even sure what that is? but....I did delete all browsing, cookies, cache etc. which is a HUGE pain because now every site I went to, banks, stocks, credit cards, email I had to do the '2 step, send me a link through email or phone text' to sign in on...but I got through it and most important, it worked. I can now sign in using Edge. What's weird I have Norton, no viruses, run that twice a week and clear those browsing, passwords, cache etc. every month so I have NO idea why it wasn't working.

An InPrivate browser window in Edge is a special browser window that ignores your cache and cookies, and which does not save your history. You can open one through a menu option or by using Control-Shift-N.

That is one reason I rarely suggest deleting all cookies; generally that is not necessary. Deleting just your eBay cookies would likely have fixed your issue without having to sign back in to all those other sites.

Excellent!
Likely there was a problem with your eBay cookie. Possibly a change in eBay's page lead to a condition where the site data and cookie data were in conflict. Normally when that happens the old data is overwritten by new data and everything keeps working as expected, but once in a while the old data is not overwritten and there are problems. That is when erasing a cookie can be helpful.

@eburtonlab very good info; I copied and will save this information for future use. Thanks

Glad you posted this, I've been having the same issue for the last 3 days, been using chrome to log in for years. Went to edge and here I am. Seems to be a scrambled mess.

disable your VPN. Same thing happened to us with edge. You can turn your VPN back on later.

I just now ran into this on ebay.co.uk and ebay.com.au community pages.
Possibly I have not run into it yet on ebay.com since I have multiple community pages open at the same time.
The quick fix for me in Firefox was to click on the lock icon to the left of the page address in the browser address bar and "clear cookies and site data" just for eBay on that particular page. Then sign back in and things loaded fine once more.

Sorry to say but you are surmising something that never happened so you probably shouldn't pose your response like that.
I've NEVER used a VPN, and never will (causes way too many problems with sites like this one)
