After selling for over 6 years on eBay, I just received my first Neg. feedback from a buyer who left me 2 Neg feedback on two purchases that were made over 2 months ago without even contacting me to let me know of any issues, even though I contact them if they have any issues to please contact me first and I will make it right for them..NOTHING-No COMMUNUCATON, I know this should not upset me but first thing in the morning I turned on the computer and I see this, it was very hurtful. I did requested revision and explain myself and also responded to her feedback comment, still no reply.
I honestly do not feel it's right when a buyer does this without contacting the seller first. Further more I do not feel neg. or neutral feedbacks should be left for a WHOLE year, really? It's a constant reminder, like eBay is punishing us or something, and buyers should only have 30 days to leave feedback not 45 days, who came up with this number and why? The only update eBay has done with feedbacks in the past 10 years is allow us to write more words, that's it. It's upsetting and sad and just as hurt people hurt others so to feel better, until they break this cycle is the only way they can heal themselves. Still I must admit it has affected my day today and I can't seem to let go of it, has anyone felt this way? Thank you

I don't think they are too concerned with pesky rules. The feedback is all gone and new listings are up. Life is good.

You need to take down your inventory, learn what is legal to sell and what isn't, and start over.

@dhbookds wrote:So ...........after all this.........you list a batch of unbranded (noted in IS) Betsey Johnson stuff, using the name in the title and description on 4/22? Description states no "stamp".
Would you tell us why you think this is ok?
I just happen to have the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song going through my head, and then I read this and nearly spit out my coffee. Too hilarious.
Bum-bum-bum ....

So you are going to take down the Betsey Johnson listings or revise them to omit the name?
whole other id with BJ stuff? These say BJ in the specifics but no mention of a stamp.........do they have a stamp?
Your feedback issue may be resolved, but the counterfeit issue isn't as long as you are using her name.
I'm not trying to "dog" you, but someone is going to report these the BJ and you're going to have problems.......

Do you use one ID for real ones and the second ID for the fake? I see you revised some of the new listings. If I was shopping for these, I'd be really confused by now. I'm curious how you were able to get the feedback removed.

What I find interesting about this change is that in Post 11 on this thread the OP was responding to another poster and said "The product is made in China, it is not "Authentic" it is inspired by this designer, I purchase my item on eBay from a seller who sells these and I re-sell them on eBay at a slightly over price."
That response was in regards to a post by @12345jamesstamps where they said in part "Who is Betsey Johnson...Is that a person from China?"
To me that is an admission that the items are knock offs and the OP is well aware of that. So they have now removed the word "inspired" and doubled down by making it appear to be a real item by Betsey Johnson.
Not only that, the OP said in another post [#9] they said "I do understand this and I did contact eBay and I was told I can use the word "inspired" and also indicate no Stamp as well, they are thousand of "inspired" jewerly on eBay and this word must be indicated on the listing which what I was told. I cannot use the word "Authentic" if they are not and I do not use this word. Thank you for your comment."
Seems to me that the OP believes if they don't say it is Authentic, then they aren't breaking any rule. They of course are completely wrong on that. We know that.

@mam98031 @jonathanbrightlight To be fair, OP I believe said that eBay customer service (too tired to go read it all again tonight) them it was ok to use "inspired by" & sadly, I can believe that. But no excuses now that they know it's not ok to sell fakes.
@gurlcat - they were already gone Tuesday night when I looked 😠 IDK how they got this one so wrong. Firstly, telling them it was ok to list if they used "inspired by", then removing extremely warranted FB that should not have been removed.
@troyb5487 It's not ok to sell fakes whether you use 'inspired by' or not & it's not ok to Keyword Spam whether you use 'inspired by' or not. As I said in my prior post, it's not even allowed to say "Not Betsey Johnson".

You are correct, the OP did say that. Still it is against the rules and it is just another time that CS gave the member incorrect information. Or more likely what happened is the CSR did not understand what the OP was actually asking.
The OP has also said they KNOW these are knock offs and has now changed the listings and removed the word "inspired" and say that it is the Betsey Johnson Brand. I explained this in detail in my post # 38.
With that said, it appears the OP has closed all their Betsey Johnson listings.

Well I don't think it was an eBay employee who removed the feedbacks. From the original post it seemed as if the OP had requested a revision from the buyer and was awaiting a reply, then later we observed the feedbacks gone. So doesn't that mean the buyer removed them? -I'm still not 100% clear on how these things work.
But anyway here I'm going to just put something out there as a costume jewelry .... okay I won't call myself an "expert" but pretty familiar with designers and their histories. And I'm sure this will not sit right with everyone but here it is anyway.
Betsey Johnson is very different from other brands in ways that are somewhat baffling, but here's the sense I've gained from years of observing them. First of all the quality is very poor and the designs are often very "cartoonish" in fact if you ask me it seems made for children, very cutesy and not meant to last. Secondly, a HUGE portion of their designs never had a mark stamped into the metal or even a metal 'dangle' with a mark, so only if you bought the piece with the original card would you know it was BJ (just like brands that happened to become very popular and "classic" collectibles like Juliana .... but also like throwaway brands like Paparazzi).
The sense I get is the brand never took itself seriously enough to machine a mark into most of their molds because they didn't expect the brand to become a real fashion icon. And I have to wonder if they even had (or have now) much of a legal strategy to protect the brand from people faking their cards, because fake BJ jewelry is EV-ER-Y-WHERE. -Granted, the fact that fakes are being made, WITH the cards (and probably faking the stamps in some designs too) means that the brand actually did make some traction in fashion circles. But the fact remains that it's almost impossible to tell the real from the fake, especially with what flimsy garbage it is.
I'm not saying I advocate eBay sellers offering fakes as real (of anything), but when it comes to BJ it's already happening WANTONLY, not just on eBay but on every venue and at every flea market, etc. and I can understand if eBay doesn't want to get too into the mud of trying to sort it out. Seems to me like if BJ wants to protect itself it is free to mine online venues for fraud just like other companies, but it doesn't seem like they're so invested in preventing dilution of their brand identity.
In short, being upset with this one seller^ for selling fake BJ is like being upset at a drop of saltwater just because you can see it on your arm, meanwhile you're standing in the ocean.
