Ebay is NOT a political site.  They are a company that has a website in which we can choose to rent space on to try and sell what we have to offer.

I don't attack sellers.  There is a big difference between not agreeing with them sometimes and attacking them.  I certainly haven't done that with you.  You just keep saying things that are inaccurate at best and that does no one any good to include yourself.  If there is a problem that needs to be worked out, you must understand the source of the problem to have any hope of fixing it.  And Ebay did not kick you into penalties fees because of one transaction.  I know you may disagree with me on that, but it simply is not how it works.

You are slinging all kinds of accusations out there about Ebay but won't offer any proof.  Why?  If you firmly believe some of the stuff you posted here, there must be some proof that it has actually happened.  Why do you take offense by being asked for proof?

25 years here   ....  just got a listing canceled after selling fees were charged for PRICE GOUGING..

A Listing ran 2 weeks and fees were collected and now they deleite it...

and many other stupid rules...... i canceled 8 of my listings today and I will cancel more tomorrow...

You will see a lot of this especially when one of the "Cheerleading squad" gets involved. They seem to specialize in browbeating sellers about how their problems are all their own fault, not eBay's lousy programming. They will offer lame excuses for eBay's collusion in buyer theft and fraud. If you counter with ANY harsh words for their unwanted interference, your post is likely to get edited/deleted, but they have protection to say what they like without any consequence. If you're on these boards for any length of time you will get to know which ones they are. Just be careful what you say, and watch how they operate. You'll get an education.

Sellers are a dime a dozen, it's the buyers we need! Of all the people I know and I know a few, only 1 buys from ebay. I don't consider ebay to be my go to selling platform anymore, which is sad because I like selling here but they have lost the muscle on getting buyers to the site. Every year my sales have declined by thousands of dollars, and don't say it's me because I sell everywhere and and have been very busy on other platforms.

You throw this out there only because we have disagreed on a couple of points on other threads.  Nothing more.

If you disagree with what I've shared with @marie185antiques about why she is being charged penalty fees, then please share.  Did the rules change and I missed the update?  Please point out what I got wrong so that I can update myself and others for that matter as this would be an important change for all of us to know about.

Yeah if some pol wanted to be re-elected all they'd have to do is actually go after sites like this, amazon etc from their shady practices. They seem to do it with google, fb, etc for publicity but this site gets away with it for years.

Proof is proof, not just your view point or mine.

You are upset because you aren't getting sales like you would like or you are use to.  I get that and I respect that.  We are all here to make a little money.  It is our collective goal.

But what has happened to you as we have previously discussed is you are currently experiencing the additional 5% penalty fee on your sales.  When that happens, you are lowered in the searches too.  It has nothing to do with what you have posted here or on any thread.  It has to do with the penalty that you need to work your way out of, which is very difficult to do.  

Take a look at your Seller Dashboard, take a peek at your Seller Level.  If you are below standard, then you are lowered in the searches.  The areas below that on this page will tell you exactly where you are having problems and why.  Each section has an arrow on the right side.  You can click on that and get the details behind what has caused the issue in that area of the dashboard and on which transactions you got a defect on.  Some have reports you can generate to review in detail the causes.

I have been cancelling my listings also.  Next they will probably be  telling their sellers what they can charge for each and every item they list.  The ones drinking the cool-aid will probably say, 'thank you master'!

OK SO WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH NOT HAVING ACCESS TO THE EXACT SELLER FEELS BEING CHARGED?  HOW CAN THE BAY CHARGE FOR FED EX SHIP COSTS THAT HAVE NOT GONE THRU WHEN THEY SAY YOU DO NOT NEED TO CANCEL AS THE BILL ING WILL NOT SHOW UNTIL IT IS USED.  WHAT?  CLASS ACTION THERE FOLKS AND IT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED NOW.  THE FED EX DOES NOT CHARGE UNTIL THE SHIP LABLE IS USED BUT EBAY CHARGES WHEN IT IS PRINTED.  REALLY?  AND EBAY SAYS CAN NOT CANCEL AS THE FED EX WILL NOT CHARGE UNTIL USED?  WHAT?  I LOVE EBAY AND HAVE MEMBERED SELLER FOR SINCE 99 UNDER DIFFERANT NAMES BUT AS A FORMER EXEC OF A CORPORATION THERE NEEDS TO BE A CLEAR CONCISE BILLING OF MONTHLY CHARGES LISTED TO THE SELLER OR YOU WILL HAVE A CLASS ACTION GENERATED BY A GOOD ATTORNEY.  I DO NOT CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER TO MAKE IT CLEAR AS I KNEW COMING IN THER WAS NOT CONTROL TO YOUR GAME.  THERE  IT IS SIGN ME UP.

I have posted images of exact emails I have gotten from Ebay that were ignored by these same folks. I would say providing proof wouldn't be of any use as they just ignore it(since they will have no answer and it's uncomfortable). They tend to go find a different  thread where they can argue, shame or make snarky comments. Or if I'm being gracious, somewhere they can be of use explaining what someone did wrong.

I understand why - they want to believe in this platform, have invested a lot of time and they don't want to hear any complaining or actual problems since they are totally powerless to do anything. It's understandable, just not very nuanced.
