Point well taken. There was a seller years back that would post "Thanks for finding the pay button.".

How about, "thank you for your order" or "thank you for your order and quick payment"
From the seller side the purpose of feedback (since 2008) is to say something nice and hope the buyer becomes a repeat customer. An addition reason would be for POTENTIAL buyers who might look at the feedback you leave for your customers.
If you can't say anything nice......don't leave feedback at all.

I use the opportunity to thank the buyer for their business.

How about the same thing you would say to a customer a the cash register....
"Thank you for your purchase."

vestige of the past.
I thank the buyer for the prompt payment.
11 to leave in the past 90 days. It shouldn't be a great burden for you.

Thank you is always a nice thing to say.

It needs to go away, but in the meantime, I thank my buyer when I receive a payment. It is set up to do this automatically.

Wait till the OP gets a Neg from a buyer that expects feedback and didn't get it.

How about "thank you." 🤔

It's an opportunity to be supportive and courteous to a buyer. Doesn't take much effort to make a buyer feel good about their purchase.

"Thanks, now I have more money and you have less."

buyer feedback is a leftover from the old days, now it is nothing more than something to make buyers feel good.
It cost's nothing to do, is effortless and there is no downside for leaving feedback to buyers but there are a very small number of buyers who will not like not getting feedback so why would a seller not leave buyers feedback

You are aware that it's optional, right?
And, as one seller replied, you can leave a simple "thank you". You can set yourself up so that it is done automatically.

Why not?
