Noticed this morning when I go to my sold listings, they just say SHIP NOW. Instead of how it use to always say what date they needed to be shipped by.
I always liked being able to clearly see when I needed to ship. Eliminated the guess work. I have a busy life so can't go to the post office more than once or twice a week.

It is my hope that Ebay will reconsider this change and give us back the old format. We are far more efficient and better off being able to see our ship by dates. I do respect that Ebay wants us shipping as fast as possible. But your seller's want this too. We don't need Ebay making a change like this to inspire us to do better. Anyone that sells on a regular basis knows that getting shipments out quickly is a smart business process.

This is one of the times I agree with @mam98031
Why would eBay not show this much needed information?
Is this another software issue/glitch or was this a planned system update?
Not EVERYTHING is a glitch. As I explained earlier this is an enhancement. Please don't try to make this something that it is not. It doesn't help us to get the proper attention on the matter.

Interesting. I just went to look at my items awaiting shipment. And the newest sale shows the date to ship by. The others show "ready to ship". Puzzling.

I think this is an intentional change that eBay is trying to make. But they aren't sure what to do yet so they are constantly changing it up... let's try this, no let's try that, how about we try this, or how about we try that?
Seems like the guy (or guys, since I'm pretty sure it's more than one person's finger on that trigger) cannot decide on or agree to an actual decision and are just flip flopping all over the place on how to implement this "ship by" status. Get your stuff together guys, THEN execute. You are embarrassing yourselves.
There is clearly someone working behind this and not just caused by a "computer".

Well, that didn't take long ... back to disagreeing.
Most glitches are actually due to poor software coding and poorly implanted system integration.
This is not an "enhancement" in any way. If this was a planned change, this should be called a "degradation."
Since we don't know yet if this was planned or unplanned, it's hard to say what it is, except that it's detrimental to sellers.

You are assuming that it is not displaying as the change in the program had intended. To me it does not appear to be that at all. Since you aren't use to using the SH, it may not be a change you would notice. But for those of us that use it on a regular basis, the page has changed. So I believe the program is functioning as intended, some of us just don't like it.
It isn't a big deal. We will bring it to Ebay's attention and hopefully they will return it to what it was before. This stuff happens off and on and it doesn't have to be an ordeal to get through.
FYI as I stated in my earlier post, there were / are other changes in the screen as well. It is an update, some good, some I personally don't like. I can't say it is bad because some seller may very well like it and that isn't a problem.

Yes, eBay is like a puzzle ... with many pieces missing.
Not as many as you make there out to be. There are millions of sellers that do just fine on this site. Yes we have issues far too often. But few are business ending events. GTC as a business ending event for some sellers. That kind of change does not happen often, thank goodness.

Mine is a mixture of "ready to ship" and having the 'ship by' date. I kept trying to figure out if it was indexed to category (it was a computer item, but then I sold two more computer items and they had the ship by date. So, I'm baffled.

My orders say "ready to ship" and as pointed out yesterday by @bigdeals.etc - these orders do not show in the filter "Awaiting shipment - ship within 24 hours". Personally, I hate this change. Show me an exact date - it's so much easier to keep track!!
Edit: Today I can see that EVERY order shows "ready to ship", even the ones that have a handling time longer than 1 day. Frustrating, to say the least.
I too am upset with this change. It was changed on the new Order Details page too. I was beginning to rely on that to keep me shipping on time. I was very pleased when they added that - now heartbroken once again. 😞
I also noticed on a sale which happened today, that when I went to print my label, I selected shipping tomorrow as the mail had already been picked up today. No problem; even tho I have a 3 day handling time, I decided to pay and print the label, which confirms tomorrows' date as the mailing date. But then noticed the info to buyer said it WAS shipped today! A total lie from eBay to my customer. Why eBay? The printing date is not always the shipping date! This kind of trickery cannot make buyers happy nor enhance eBay's reputation.

Can this problem be fixed?

Yes, I am also seeing a "ship by" date on my Orders list AND on Order Details this morning when it wasn't there last night. These sudden changes back and forth are giving me whiplash!

I liked it being very clearly listed. Even if look at the sold date, it's still confusing sometimes. Like I would think if it's paid on Monday evening, Monday shouldn't count as a handling day as there would have been no possible way to ship it at that point. But, I really don't know how ebay calculates it. Same with Saturdays, I really don't think that should count as a business day, but I think it does still.
No, it doesn't count Saturdays. I had sales yesterday (Thursday) and my handling time is two days. The Ship By date on those sales is showing Monday (although I will ship today).

Ship by Aug 12at 11:59pm PDT
If you read the last few messages in this thread you'll see that something changed between yesterday and today. Yesterday no one here was seeing the actual date, but late last night and today we are (Seller Hub, Manage Orders Awaiting Shipment page).
