INR case filed against me. Tracking uploaded. Now what?

A INR was case filed against me. I uploaded the Tracking info that says the item was delivered.   Will the case close on it's own or do i need to call customer service?

Also, i assume the buyer will be told "tough luck" by ebay. Will he/she be able to leave me negative feedback because they are P'd off?

Did you forget to upload the tracking information?

If so, this upsets the buyers more than the act that their item never made it, or that they are trying to pull a good one on you.

Anyway, try to play nice, just tell them that you feel sorry but by eBay's rules, you complied with your part. And, ask them to talk to their mail carrier in case he misdelivered it to another 456 or whatever numbers they live in.

I never assume it will just close , after I upload I call to have it closed in my favor.
Most of my INR's have turned out ok, I did however have a bad one
I tried everything to offer help including calling her post office , when all was said & done and she lost the ebay INR she opened one with Paypal
Again I uploaded tracking  called Paypal  & they closed it .
She was angry and I can see why  she didn't get her item but if someone stole her item there isn't much I could do
She left Negative feedback . I called ebay & they did remove it .
It stated Seller didn't insure , I'm out my xxx & my money .
It was a first class package for $13.99 no I didn't insure it .

This kind of case doesn't tend to close on its own.  Phone Customer Service to get it closed.

Once it does, the buyer shouldn't be able to leave feedback for you.

Did you upload the tracking info after the case was opened?   If so, remember that uploading tracking is important for your performance stats - eBay is keeping score on the percentage of your packages that are scanned as received by the carrier, regardless of what happens downstream when the buyer does or doesn't get the item or get it when estimated.

IIRC, an INR case no longer can be closed automatically by c-s as soon as the tracking uploaded shows delivered. the seller will always be eventually covered from loss with a delivery scan, but the new procedure is that after uploaded tracking shows delivery, the buyer is given 24 hours to call c-s and raise some sort of dispute (and I assume get a courtesy refund).

I did upload the tracking number and left a comment yesterday.

However, when i reviewed the case just now, it only shows my comment. It does not show the tracking number that i uploaded. That made me think - did i forget to upload the tracking number yesterday?  So i uploaded it again and reviewed the case.  Same thing, it only shows "uploaded tracking information" but no tracking number.

I will call customer service to get this case closed.

You assume? No assumption here.

Be sure that ebay is on the case and will sanction the buyer with the many tools they have available to reprimand buyers including but not limited to suspend accounts indefinitely.

I just got off the phone with customer service. So apparently they don't just close the case out on their own?  But because i called and i did upload the tracking number showing the package was delivered, she offered to close the case in my favor.

I asked about the part about the buyer being able to leave me negative feedback. She said that because this was a legitimate "transaction" that yes, the buyer is able to leave me feedback (good or bad).  If it's bad feedback because the item was not received, ebay will remove it.

If the parcel was insured make a claim...

The parcel was delivered as indicated with tracking... BUT...  buyer did not receive the parcel.  If there was no direct transfer of the parcel from the delivery person to the buyer... This must be confirmed

The fact that the buyer did not receive the parcel is the responsibility of the Postal Service....

The insurance claim must be addressed....

Re: INR case filed against me. Tracking uploaded. Now what?

Had you already uploaded tracking before the case was filed? If not, maybe you chanced good luck on the call.

Starting September 10, 2018, you will be required to upload tracking

before the estimated delivery date

[Otherwise] eBay will not protect you from a claim

Why would ebay sanction the buyer because they claim to not have received their package?

Insurance won't be paid if the package is shown as delivered.  I did read that it can be appealed if the GPS data tracking shows the package was misdelivered by the carrier.  I had a buyer who claimed that she didn't receive her purchase.  I even paid for signature confirmation because the value was over $750 and the package was signed for by someone at the residence.  I did the usual told her to check around and file a police report.  I did file an insurance claim which was denied as I expected.    Until recently after I uploaded the tracking number I  always call eBay to have them close the claim in my favor.  The last one was in June this year.  I sold a watch to this buyer and he contacted me to state he didn't get it..  It actually did arrive at the address on file but he had moved and the post office was supposed to hold his mail, but didn't.  He was very unhappy and felt that I should send him a replacement ( I only had the one) or a refund which I refused.  I told him that I wasn't responsible for his post office error as the package had arrived at the address on file and they should retrieve it.  He contacted eBay and they told my buyer to file a claim.  After the claim closed he could file an appeal so he could get a courtesy refund.  My buyer told me all of this and that he was filing another claim for a TV he didn't get.   I don't insure items shipped First Class Mail under $25 unless they are very fragile.  It only costs me 75 cents.

Ayup. If you're buying your postage over the counter at the post office, you must upload the tracking number as soon as you get home. (If you're printing your labels on-line through eBay/PayPal, then that will be done automatically for you.)

If you didn't upload tracking for the first time until after the buyer filed his Item Not Received dispute, then eBay will not honor it anymore, per that quote above.
