I sold an item on 4/30. The buyer messaged me saying it was her first buy from eBay. Then another message when she received item saying how she loved the item. No feedback left tho.
I offer a 30 day return policy
On 6/22 buyer files chargeback case thru their credit card company/bank or whatever for unauthorized transaction. Buyer has now went from confirmed to unverified to unregistered on PayPal transaction details. PayPal said they would contact me if they needed anything which they didn't, nor would it allow me to enter in any info at resolution center. Then I'm told I lost the case. Huh?
Now my question is this..how do I get my purchase history as well as shipping history (for the tracking number) when eBay won't let me go back but 90 days.? Same with PayPal. Why wouldn't PayPal have given the buyers bank the tracking info? I need these things for my so called Seller Protection. Any ideas how I get the tracking number?
Thanks.

Tracking # should be in paypal transaction of the item, in the payment to ebay for the label, and would certainly be in the paypal receipt to Ebay shipping email, if you can find that, presuming you did the label from ebay.......
Have you called Paypal?.........normally a seller is covered for an unauthorized charge because pp gives authority to ship.

Only if you save the receipt with the tracking number on it. Even with that odds are good USPS no longer has the info....

@darsdandydeals This situation stinks for you. I wonder how many numerous "new accounts" this "new buyer" has pulled this trick on? Sorry, hope there is a resolution for you. I do not know about how to find a receipt, etc

That is what I was thinking. I had my settings set so no one could bid or buy under a certain amount of bids but apparently that didn't matter and eBay allowed them to do it any way. Imagine that! Thanks

I have looked every where on eBay and PayPal to know avail. Neither will let you even look at purchases past 90 days. That's not very fair to me. No way to dispute it. I think it's a gimmick. Shipping labels won't go back but 90 days and I had saved the eBay messages where the buyer had contacted me in my folder but they are gone as well. How convenient. I guess PayPal doesn't have enough money so they have to steal from the ones who have made them rich. What a shame. They have the buyers name and address under the sellers protection address on file. They are nuts. I am out $50 and buyer even gets to keep shoes. I am in the wrong business. Thanks for the response

If I log in to Paypal and look under "summary" I can go back at least to 2016.
I'm wondering if you might have the same option, just check under the Summary tab and
see if that helps. If not, I am sorry for your predicament and wish you good luck.

You definitely can go back more than 90 days on Paypal. The new layout makes it a bit challenging and you can't view on the classic site anymore.
Click activity
top left where the 2 calendars are, click the end calendar
Select "This Year" instead of last 90 days
Last 90 days is the default, but not your only option 😉
Good luck!
Log in to Paypal FIRST, then follow this link: https://history.paypal.com/webscr?cmd=_history
Set your date ranges to search ALL of your transactions.

Hi. Yes I talked to PayPal. They told me I had to come up with the proof of shipping including tracking info. I got to thinking that eBay always emails me when shipping label is created, when it ships as well as when I have a message. I'm not too good at clearing my messages so I went through them and sure enough I found them all! I sent everything to PayPal this morning so can't wait to see what they do to get out of reversing the charges now. Thanks for replying. Will update when I hear something.

Update...of course I lost the case. It is a total scam. I mean when the one that gets to make the final decision on who wins is the same exact one who opened the case (the buyers bank) hmmm...I wonder who wins? It’s the classic “the fox guarding the hen house”.

OP, sorry this happened to you, but remember what goes around, comes around.
That buyer may reap what she has sown.

OP, there really was nothing you could have done to win the paypal case. Unfortunately you were caught in the gap between when tracking info is cleared out of the USPS system and the extended time a buyer has to file a UA or INR case. I've never heard or read where paypal has addressed the issue of what a seller is to do in these gap situations, so I assume their answer is a shoulder shrug.

Tracking is not needed to win an Unauthorized Use case, all you need is proof of shipment, and if you paid for the shipment through paypal, then the info should be there.
