I dont know about everyone else, but I just started managed payments about a month ago. Before managed payments started, I was pulling $100 in sales daily for months and months consistently. Now all the sudden, im having days where I dont sell a single item. Now I always have 300 items listed at any given time, and something is not right here. It seems to me something is causing this, but im not sure what it is. Who else is experiencing this. Ebay has gone way downhill it seems. I may be taking my business elsewhere if this continues, as something isn't adding up, something is really fishy here.

I sell across 4 different platforms and I can honestly say sales have been down collectively in all platforms, ebay actually has been the most consistent. I’m a small scale part-time time seller though so it’s probably different for me.
I’m not saying it’s not related to any of the changes ebay has implemented, but I also believe there have been general shifts in consumer behaviours since covid, especially for private/secondhand sellers. Mainstream retailers have been in a race to the bottom with promotions and discounts in an attempt to move old stock and salvage the damage occurred in the past year. Most people shop on ebay looking for bargains, with similar prices though, most would likely still opt for mainstream big corp retailers over ebay for the experience (unless you’re selling niche things).
Consumers are also more careful than ever with their money given the uncertainty of it all. I spoke with a handful of repeat customers earlier in July and they all told me they were saving up for a vacation, some have back-to-school expenses… It’s gonna take a while for private sellers to get back momentum. But for all we know, ebay might be making other changes by then…

"I honestly do not see where MP can be a factor in sales"
Of course it is, at least to some extent. Those of us who refused to knuckle under and accept the MP program and are no longer selling here, are no longer buying here either. It may be a statistically insignificant percentage of transactions, but it exists.

Having some better pictures of your items might help. A lot of your pics are really really dark. You could try using a light box, or more light... Also on your camera setting, try using more exposure. Too little exposure, and you get dark pics. Too much exposure, and everything is washed out. Try to find the right amount of exposure.

My thoughts on this is it is not an Ebay issue for sales.
One of the biggest things is, last year people were buying like crazy online because they were stuck at home. This year, people have started going out again and buying in physical stores again.
Also last year there were issues with the big box stores not having inventory or ability to ship, so people looked to shop on Ebay. Now that the big box stores have resumed their normal inventory and shipping operations this year, people are shopping with them again.
Christmas is around the corner though so sales will pick up.

Where do you see the COVID Pandemic Ending??

This is a thread from June.
The OP is still here, and based in his sold items he is still getting consistent daily sales.

"Where do you see the COVID Pandemic Ending??"
In many areas, life has gone on as normal since day one, but even in places that went into full pandemic mode, life is pretty much back to usual.

Yes selling sucks when no one is buying. I don't think MP has anything to do with it. It will pick up later today👍

MP has everything to do with it. Plus fees. Plus sales taxes.
Sellers: Inflexibility in selling (payment methods- giving your bank information to yet another third party...etc) and paying more fees.
Not to mention The silly overthinking & ever changing in the listing page. Pics- description- that's all you need. Works for everyone else.
Buyers: paying more. Simple as that.
It's the free market at work. I have yet to list anything this year, yet have kept selling elsewhere.
Ebay is on dialup......as the rest of the world has passed them by.

My sales dropped dramatically, are now less than 10% of the average, due to VAT taxes buyers see the items “20%” higher than before, that’s the reason I guess. EBay become a nightmare of rules and taxes, the decline would be permanent, time to give up, unfortunately.

Where do I sign up ? Do they send us checks, or just deposit those funds into our accounts automatically ?
@coolections don't remember getting notice on this before, oh well, reply now.
Deposit of course, things are so bad now maybe able to swindle a cash advance too. 😆

I have been on Ebay since 1999. I also have days with no sales.. It has to be a glitch. Now they have taken away the Doll category's. Sales are the worst ever. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Maybe they want us to pay extra to promote our listing, and search positions.? They need to put the doll Categorys BACK ! Everything is grouped together. Cathieleedollhospital 😞

I got $500,000 jewelry inventory listed on ebay and used to make $10,000 monthly sales. Last few months, my sale dwindled to $500-1000 a month. Last month I sold $0. I just thought to share.

Same for me. Right before the eBay listings update I was hitting over 250k impressions now I can't break 90k. This of course is killing my sales right now.
