According to eBay item specifics it no longer exists.
I was listing some towels made in the country of Turkey. The sell your item form does not have the country of Turkey as an origin of manufacture option in item specifics. A couple of countries listed that have the beginning letters of Tur - including Turkiye (sp??) - but no Turkey.
Even though my listing photos show the manufacturer label as made in Turkey I had to list it as country unknown.
So I, the seller, look like a nitwit who doesn't know where my own merchandise came from when the information is staring me in the face.
I realize a missing country of origin is a small inconvenience given the snafu's all over the site but seriously, it's kind of an insult to the Turkish people.

Any category of clothing, for example womens activewear shorts. Is it Turkmenistan?

No it's not, Türkiye is one line above Turkmenistan on the country list dropdown.

Turkmenistan is a different country.
It's there under the correct name: Türkiye
However, I see where the problem is @thriftwithjoy .
If you scroll down the list you can find it alphabetically. If you type in Turk it's not pulling up in the 'search results' as it should. So for now if you want to fill that out you'll need to scroll down - or you can leave it blank.
If you want it fixed, on the listing form there's a "tell us what you think" link on the top right - send in the FB and tell them it applies to all women's clothing subcategories.

The reason it's not appearing in search results is because of the umlauts.
Tu will not pull up the country but Tü will.
After testing, typing in the letters RK will pull up Türkiye in the search results. (I chose 2 consecutive letters after the ü and it worked.)

Fair enough. But then shouldn't there also be listed:
Deutschland
Sverige
Polska
Espana
Italia
etc

Yes, I understand that that is the spelling they prefer to use in The United Nations - they changed it less than
a year ago, although I am aware that their name IN THE TURKISH LANGUAGE. Here in America, we generally use ENGLISH, and Spanish and sometimes French. We generally don't use foreign spellings,
and Turkey is simply the English translation for Türkiye.
It's still Turkey in English, and it's rather nit-picky to expect English-speakers to say, and write it in another language. It is with the United Nations they proposed the change. The name Turkey wasn't "made up", by the way, it's called a TRANSLATION.
Do you call Spain Espana, and Germany Deutschland and all of the Slavic and Nordic and Pan-Pacific
countries by their native language monikers? If you don't, I suggest you do so IMMEDIATELY, so as not to offend the politically correct crowd, lol! The English language generally doesn't use the diaeresis above vowels, either.
In addition, I have no problem with using the spelling change, to be honest, but Ebay should have
notified the sellers, or have a little side-note in the drop-down list, especially when all of the products they sell say "MADE IN TURKEY".
By the way, I am sure the Ottoman Empire in their imperialistic glory forced all of the countries they
invaded to speak Türkçe (that would be Turkish in English). SMH 😅

Also, please inform the French that Les Etats Unis is no longer acceptable, and tell the Mexicans that
Los Estados Unidos is not acceptable, etc. etc. ad infinitum.
They all must be expected to speak our country's name in OUR language, by your well-meaning but misguided logic.

Spot on, Richard! It's called languages and translations. There is no disrespect in calling
Turkey in the English translation of Türkiye, whatsover. And we need to make sure that no one
called the United States Los Estados Unidos, or Les Etats Unis, etc. etc.

Fun fact-- Most postal systems belong to the Universal Postal Union, which is why you can mail a package from the United States and have it arrive safely in Turkiye.
But although the UPU was founded through the Universal Postal Union Treaty of 1874, English was not an official language of the Union until 1974.

That's great other than a US keyboard can't type that stupid U with the dots so you have to scroll all the way down to it... ugh

Mine can -- ü
I'm on an iMac.
I hold the U key and a menu pops up. I pick the version of U I want.

@handieeeeee_6 : If you are on a Windows box, press your Alt key while typing 0220 on your side keypad: Ü. For lower-case ü, press Alt+0252. The Windows Character Map utility will give you a handy little map to every character in every font on your machine.
As for your smartphone, press and hold the "U" button on your keypad to pop up the various accented versions of that particular glyph. Enjoy...
P.S. It might help if eBay sorted Country Names alphabetically by their unaccented form (for example, equivalencing "ü" to "u" for alphabetizing/sorting purposes), but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Or just copy and paste ü straight off the forum.

I knew there was a way on Windows (I'm stuck using it for work purposes, I have a Mac at home), but there's no way I'm going to remember that on the rare occasions I need to type Türkiye (just tested it, you are of course correct about the codes). I just type T to somewhat limit the list, then scroll until I get there. Good tip for those who might need it more often, though!
