I recently had a buyer make a small purchase from me and noticed that the account appears to be only used for purchases.
What caught my eye was the feedback this buyer leaves:
Here's a run-down of what it looks like, for example what has been left for the past 25-30 purchases:
A

Now, does this make any sense to you? Once in a while, I see actual words. Otherwise, it is a capital letter... but what is curious is the fact that right beneath the letter there is always a hash mark (hyphen).
I am not even sure how the buyer is able to leave a letter on one line and a symbol on the line beneath it, all in one slot for one purchase and the anonymous seller. I thought there was no way to leave feedback on more than one line of how ever many characters maximum are allowable.
What concerns me is the use of these letters. What do they mean? Who other than this buyer knows what they mean? I messaged the buyer asking about this and there was no response (been days since I asked, and I asked the question within minutes of receiving the payment). I think the buyer is using code, and in my opinion, all of that feedback should be removed. It should not be permitted.
Thoughts?

As stated previously, by other posters, it's the auto code. The A is probably for "Awesom", T is for the begining of "Thanks" and the S for "Super." Check their old, old feedback for a clue.
I have seen this a few times since they changed the feedback page. No auto loading.
I would not block, a positive is a positive. You use to be able to run a drs report to see if you got dinged on the stars, but we all know eBay eliminated that report.
Most likely buyer error.

IMO, is it just the buyer being cutesy.
I di something similar one when I had won 6 auctions from the same seller bud did not want to do 6 feedbacks.
So I split up one response for all 6.
IMO what this buyer is doing is harmless, as long as there is a green circle next to it.

It's green so why care? You want positive feedback removed because you don't like how they choose to leave it? I see no cuss words or improper verbiage for removal.
I reiterate boldly after all the threads today---feedback just needs to go away completely.

Wasn't there a problem on the new feedback page when it was released where it only left the first character of what was copied/pasted in? Or entered? Maybe it's still around on some different way to get into the feedback page.

My thought is that feedback is the opinion of the buyer. Unless it violates some policy it is there for good. My other thought is this is a control issue and you should spend your time and energy on something more productive.

Bingo. Its their auto complete failing to put the whole comment in. As soon as you type something in the feedback comments that starts with the same letter you used before then the browser might pop up a caption showing you that whole older string of text. If you click on it then its supposed to get placed in the form field and you can go on to the next. I have Chrome and it does this just fine. Maybe the buyer is not understanding that they still have to click on it before the whole comment will go in.
I think the dash below that comment is because if they are leaving feedback as a buyer then Ebay will not put in the item number that they bought. If they are leaving feedback as a seller then you will see the item number there.

I believe there's a page out there somewhere in FakebookLand proclaiming today 'Official Post Your Feedback Rant Day'.
