How do I report spam

I know that if I get a Phishing email I can send it to spam@ebay.com.

But what about unsolicited spam, especially if it included the sender’s email address? We know that eBay raises an eyebrow when emails to each other contain the person’s real email address. So how or to whom do I report that to avoid getting caught in their zeal?

It came from a person who has been a member less than a month, has zero feedback and is in the Philippines. The gist of the email was that if I contacted him he could show me how to save money on shipments to Canada.

How do I report spam

If it's unsolicited commercial email that arrived in your email client addressed to your email address you can copy report it thru SpamCop. Messages that arrive in your eBay Messages do not apply here.

Be aware that you'll need to locate the email headers and copy them as well. Email header location is different for pretty much every email client, so you need to do some research to find out where they are.

Correction: Phishing emails go to spoof@ebay.com.

The message came in through eBay messaging, not through my regular email account. That is why I am concerned. If it came through my regular email account then eBay would never see it and I have filters there to block it. But eBay makes a point that they scan eBay messages for inappropriate content which this one clearly included.

OK ... I've had inapproprate content come through ebay messaging too. All you can do is call eBay on that. Don't delete the content, eBay will need to see it. I would recommend you insure you are speaking to a US based rep when you call. If not, call back at an appropriate time that US call centers are operating ... after 8:00-900am Pacific Time I would imagine.
