UPS Falsifying Dimensions and dinging every box

UPS is at if again Falsifying Dimensions adding just enough inch to make a box oversized , charging me $160x3 for 3 boxes I already paid $95-120 each for.  They add 1-3" per side just so it magically hits the oversized fee and ding me.  I'm obviously going to dispute as I have a proof with pictures.   But they are also dinging me for petty charges like $1-3 a on almost every box.  Fedex has been extremely fair and even refunds money on some.  Don't know what happened to UPS but unfortunately have to cut them out 100% and will slow down some shipments.  Sad but I'm tired of being ripped off and nickel and dimed.   Everyone needs to watch and keep track of their charges and fees on shipping labels on here.

You had a similar problem back in February.

Fraudulent UPS Shipping Fee for $1346.94 - The eBay Community

Since you had issues back then, I am surprised that you haven't found a resolution to this.

Did you follow up last time?  Did you just think it would not happen again?

If you don't have to bang your head on the wall, weekly, due to UPS and FedEx upcharges or penalties added to your FOR CERTAIN CORRECT weight and measurements.
You're not shipping enough.

That was resolved , yet another item I've shipped multiple times where UPS adds just enough inches to try and screw me.  Basically I'm forced to shut down and wind down operations yet again because nobody works for free.  I've shipped these same items multiple times again in the past without an issue until now.  Basically already pulled $15,000 in items off eBay and done using ups for good.  Obviously they don't want easy money legit charging me $80-120 for items smaller and same weight I get 4 rolls of bubble wrap for $59 with free shipping i buy.  A complete and utter joke this is.

Now eBay is lying and refusing to help.  They are telling me to dispute with ups on a label on their account.  Wasted countless hours so far.  Looks like we are going bbb complaint and arbitration.

It looks like all your blow mold listings are not charging enough for shipping.
If you know the carrier is adding charges, what are you doing to get in rhythm with how they operate, instead of aiming for eBay (or any other entity) to change for you?

They are correct are close.  I took down 15k in listings.  There is only that costs $285-350 and it's 24x18x61 Santa.  Every other mold is $15-$140.  I've shipped out thousands.  My dimensions were 100% correct and I got dinged upcharged on molds I've shipped many times in the past.  I'm pretty fair with my shipping costs and don't profit on them and charge around after the discount on the large ones.  I spend a ton of money on boxes and time and extremely disappointed by this.  I didn't make a mistake or try to pull fast one on these.  I know exactly what to charge to sell the item and get paid properly for shipping.   As far as adding charges this is all new.  I haven't gotten dinged on blow mold shipping labels like this since 2020 when I first started shipping them, and like an idiot I didn't use a box.  But it was $80 surcharge not $165-195 per box on boxes I already paid $85-120 for.

You can always file criminal charges for fraud if you can prove they falsified or do a charge back for the entire shipping cost.

I can't charge back because the money was taken out of my "processing funds" before it was in my possession.  All I have is my pictures of the tape measure and box.  Weights not really an issue as they're lightweight plastic blowmolds weight 4-8 pounds.   The mold was shipped in its original box at a height of 50.1" I round up to 51".  The box was not 53", its 100% a fraudulent upcharge.  The original box is 19x19x50 , which isn't a custom box on this one but original manufactured box.

This one used a 24x18x44 box , yes know I accidentally did 18x18x44.  I'd expect a $10-18 charge not $197.  Know for a fact with photo evidence I didn't use a 24x19x45 box.  It was a 24x18 box they consider one side 24" and the other side 19". They also consider a 43.7" height 45".

Size really matters when determining DIM weight. https://ir.ebaystatic.com/pictures/aw/shipping/DIM_Weight_client_R6.pdf

FedEx https://page.message.fedex.com/weight_calculator

18x44x18 is 86 cubic pounds.
24x45x19 is 124 cubic pounds.

44x18x24 is 155 cubic pounds.

For the 100th time I understand and the calculator figures it all out.  I wouldn't ship these if they were oversized and would have adjusted the shipping costs, like I do with the 24x18x61 Santa.  You ship the same exact thing 4-5 times well under the penalty but they hit you with the penalty and randomly upsize your boxes to fleece you.  Its a bad business practice and I'm floored by both sides.  The $197 "Hit" was a total scam because I combined shipments on this one , and didn't have to or wouldn't have.  1" doesn't make a difference at all except in their fraud charge.  They jam all these boxes in tight as possible in a semi trailer, likely creasing and damaging the sides before they " audit measure" and rip me off.   I'll snap a picture of that mess next time I drive by UPS.  Also every single box is getting random petty charges for $1 to $18.  Going to be a catastrophic loss here as I've pulled Alot of inventory off here and seized shipping until I get a proper appeal.

For what it's worth, I believe you and take you at your word that you know what you're talking about.  So sorry that isn't always the case.  The mental gymnastics some people will go through to deny corporate fraud never ceases to amaze me.  Like .... why??    Why WANT so badly to disbelieve that greed-motivated entities gonna do greed-based bull??   Like NO WAY Daddy Corporatism would ever cheat on Mommy Citizenry!   There must be some misunderstanding!

100 percent agree with you. UPS has done this to me multiple times in the past and ive been selling for over 10 years. no other carrier has done anything like this to me because I am always accurate with my weight and dimensions. ups just hit me with a 3 inch oversized fee and the extra charge was $2700..... this was for a $400 item. and I already paid $200 for the original shipping label. its unbelievable. im in the process of disputing it with ebay but I will never use ups again.

I'm sorry to hear.  They have gotten significantly worse the last few months.  Imo the company is being ran into the ground from corporate and I'm done with them.  Every year i would  give the workers who handled my boxes gift cards for Christmas  as they would have  to handle a truck load of boxes i'd drop off daily, now this year I've already shifted most to FedEx now it's all going there.  It's sad.

Contact ebay support and ask them to help you dispute the after the fact overcharges.  They will help because you bought the labels through ebay.
