UPS is at if again Falsifying Dimensions adding just enough inch to make a box oversized , charging me $160x3 for 3 boxes I already paid $95-120 each for. They add 1-3" per side just so it magically hits the oversized fee and ding me. I'm obviously going to dispute as I have a proof with pictures. But they are also dinging me for petty charges like $1-3 a on almost every box. Fedex has been extremely fair and even refunds money on some. Don't know what happened to UPS but unfortunately have to cut them out 100% and will slow down some shipments. Sad but I'm tired of being ripped off and nickel and dimed. Everyone needs to watch and keep track of their charges and fees on shipping labels on here.

All the surcharges are in the quote. Every UPS Modification adds just enough to each side to make it "oversized" and charge an extra $160-200. I am going to appeal all with proof and waste countless hours on the phone , while they hold over $800 in funds from me for weeks. And the pettiness of charging $1-3 on almost every single box is an absolute joke , going thru everything and appealing these charges too. Will also be cutting them out permanently after give ups 100k plus in business last 5 years. Also cutting out shipping on here and will be working directly with FedEx from here out. No more ups or buying labels on here.

Did you actually measure the boxes or did you rely on the printed size?
The printed size is commonly the interior size, and when measured, the box is about an inch bigger in every dimension.

Another one for $197... Kind of hard to operate when you're cleaned out by UPS as they are Falsifying Dimensions to rip me off.

I measure them all they're custom boxes. Large yes but they keep adding just enough inch to make them oversized and rip me off. Got hit with more and now negative. I round up everything if it's 49 1/4 I mark 50. They say 52"

Custom size boxes don't always turn out to be square. Are you measuring ALL sides and using the longest measurement for each dimension?

Yes I've shipped thousands of large boxes. Know exactly what I'm doing and not stupid enough to ship something oversized and not have the buyer pay for it. I've shipped 2 this winter where shipping was $285-315.. I now have 4 charges for significantly smaller boxes charging the same amount. We are talking a foot difference. The $285-315 charges were for a 24x18x60 box. They're charging me the same amount for 24x18x42 and 19x19x50. All have similar weight around 10lbs.

Bases on those boxes you are billed at dimensional weight not the 10 lb. You should also be seeing a large package surcharge for those, too

You have 3 day shipping. You're also just 9 miles away from a UPS Store down there in Valparaiso. It's 9 miles from the center of Westville to that store on the NE side of Valparaiso. Maybe build up 2-3 orders at a time and try taking the boxes there every other day to ship out to make sure they get measured right there in front of you. It'd be worth it to try to save $100-$200-$300 in over charges that MIGHT occur every time you ship something out.

As far as I know the store doesn't use the discount if they measure , also a time issue as I can't make it there before close usually. Westville accepts my packages pre labelled but the issues are coming from scans in Hodgkins, IL. Even going thru the small ones like 18 1/18" they are rounding up to 19" , FedEx and post office do not round up unless it's over 1/2", UPS was the same way. 75% of my items already FedEx as it is , because their rates have been lower. Basically 8 packages out of 10 to FedEx since October but every UPS box is a problem with an upcharge , 4 are excessive exceeding -$750+, and FedEx is rarely up charging me even sends back money when I estimate up too much. I'm not pro FedEx but extremely disappointed in ups rates this year and these charges are a huge pita and burden.

Good luck with that, you have to go through ebay to file a dispute and they don't dispute over size packages. I just went through it on a package of mine just to find out that UPS said I used too much tape. Ebay does not have seller's back on UPS disputes.

I'm gonna keep fighting it, they are refusing and not even trying. It's total **bleep**. Pulling down 99% of my listings if it's not resolved asap

I don't use UPS much because out of the big three they are the biggest pain in the butt to make a damage claim, actually just had to make my second ever with them and it was such a pain. Several weeks ago I shipped out a few packages with them. They changed the dimensions on everyone one them. Adding 3 inches to some of them.
I did something I rarely ever do and actually searched my shipping label bills on ebay. I rarely do this because I thought anytime I got an adjustment they had to email me. I was wrong. UPS also hit me with 3 charges in a row of $8.25 each. I was never informed of these charges. Looking online it was for packages over 48 inches, or 30 inches as the second dimension or an item over 70lbs. None of my packages were close. The largest was 29x29x13. I can only imagine the likely 100's of millions of dollars UPS and FedEx steal from its consumers annually and get away with it.

Exactly. Ups has been running off revenue for the past year to eliminate jobs, hubs, and get a miniscule profit increase % losing billions in revenue. I'm done with them unfortunately, great workers I tried my best to use them but I can't afford to lose $1000 and 5-6 hours of time it took to ship these items. Unfortunately they'll probably keep dinging me , they hit me for a $197 charge yesterday for a box from November 23, I already paid $105 for. They charged me $600 for 2 boxes i was quoted $160 total to go-to Kalamazoo about 80 miles away. I would never ever ship these if I had known this. They weren't even close to oversized and several inches away. These are items I've shipped multiple times in the past without an issue
