I’ve been listing even more lately and haven’t sold a thing in 3 days. Anyone else experiencing a lag? Pretty concerning considering it’s near Christmas. Maybe throttling truly does exist...

My sales were about normal all year up until last month. My sales are typically slower up until Christmas since I sell used clothing and then they pick back up in January but this year is slower then normal for me. I figured it was just because of everything going on plus holidays but the last week I have had a few potential buyers message me saying ebay would not let them buy my items, they could not add them to their carts or accept my offers. No idea why or what was going on. I asked them to contact customer service and they could not figure it out either. Makes me a little suspicious. ....

This has been my worst November/December Selling in years! I have not yet signed up for managed payments because I just don't like the whole idea of it. Many people having issues with the money being depposited into their accounts.
I am thinking of possibly just closing my store the end of the year and not selling for awhile.
Anyone else? Not sure if it's Amazon taking sales or what?

It's quite a noticeable and depressing slump. Usually, November through January are great for me. But not this year.
Covid, poor economy and job losses are all to blame, of course. You've either got money, or you don't. Probably there's also a surge in individuals rushing to resell, like we saw post housing bubble, driving prices for items down because of a glut of options. Cross-posting is more necessary to reach customers. I will pivot away from some categories, and may further reduce prices on some of my listings to blow out that inventory.
Most of my sales have come from Best Offer. Relatively nothing has simply sold at my asking price. But I also haven't been listing top shelf items, because I don't feel they'll get the return I want or need. It's a buyers market. Which presents other opportunities for resellers who invest wisely to flip for great profit in long tail or once the market returns to something resembling normal. Of course there's more risk there. Always learning something new, and not afraid to pivot to new categories. Maybe I can also find amazing deals on some items to improve my business while the market is staggering. I will likely always be a reseller, come what may. Diverting to other platforms isn't out of the question, but definitely cross-posting is essential.
Best of luck to you all. Appreciate the comments.
