Slow sales - anyone else?

I’ve been listing even more lately and haven’t sold a thing in 3 days. Anyone else experiencing a lag? Pretty concerning considering it’s near Christmas. Maybe throttling truly does exist...

Same thing here and had really hoped things would pick up for Christmas so I can get my property taxes paid.  The tax wolves are AT my door and this isn't going to be a real "Merry" one for me.  Best of luck to ALL of us this very dismal year.

My sales have been all or nothing for about 3 months....since the fall seller update.  I think that  the new category changing that came with the update took away what I called stumble upon sales where someone is looking for something else related to your item but their vague search found your item as well. Now they can add so many specifics to their search that it does not happen nearly as often. I called e bay about 10 times because I noticed my promoted listing were not being promoted. It eventually seems like it was fixed because my sales have been better since then. Have you tried refreshing your listings?

Worst month ever for me... the new item specifics seem to coincide with my slowdown.

You sell clothing - not a great category at the moment.  And you clothing is used - not something that most would give as a gift.  I'd chalk up slow sales to what you sell, not an eBay throttling conspiracy.

I was doing okay until Thanksgiving.  Then the switch was turned off.  Bummer!

Same here! Weekend after Thanksgiving was AWESOME! Then Dec 2 they cut the switch off again!!

I sell clothing, too. There is nothing wrong with your listings, but you have a relatively small amount of listings up in a supersaturated category with over-populated brands, and Christmas shopping usually doesn't include pre-owned clothing. Looking at your solds, I'd say you're doing pretty well all things considered, particularly in a winter this difficult.

Just keep going, try to source some less heavily represented brands if you can, but honestly, sales in pre-owned clothing always sink at this time of year.

It's not just eBay, it's dead all over the place. 

I'm very worried right now, and literally can't give things away. Getting some 75-80% 'offers' on items, not going to be a good end to the year 😞

Agreed! Every time ebay concocts these new schemes it always seems to adversely affect our sales. One brutal fall seller update a couple years ago nearly shut down our whole operation.

Usually this time of year I do pretty well for me. It was horrible a couple of weeks ago,  but I now am at least getting a few sales a week.

My the tides if change bring to all of us the things we need.

I would think people rarely buy used clothes during Christmas season. On top of that you have a million people competing against you. Unfortunately you should not expect much of an improvement in the near future.
