So I sold a graphics card box “targeting scalpers and bots” and it actually sold. In the title was the name of the box, company, and card but in my description I clearly stated that the box did not contain a hgraphics card and that the box was filled with other items I also stated no returns refunds or cancels. After clearly stating what was and what was not in the box is the buyer still able to get a refund due to his negligence to read the item description?

Multiple problems on your part.
Conflict between the category, title, item condition, & description.
Selling adult items outside of the adult category.
IMHO, the buyer would easily be able to obtain a refund.
You might find your account suspended.

Absolutely.
No returns doesn't mean no refunds. They will stick you with the return shipping cost and you'll have to refund when your box of junk is delivered back, thus costing you time AND money. Maybe try legitimate listings next time.
It's stuff like this - sellers playing around, not being serious about what they're doing - that make buyers think we're all scammers. Those of us who take this seriously don't appreciate that.

Those were sleazy listing and they should have gotten their money, and you should get the boot from eBay.

you got $500 for a fake listing (the title is a part of the listing)? then relisted and got $450? oh yeah, i bet good money you'll have to refund. i wouldn't be surprised if that is the least of your problems with this.

It doesn't matter what you typed in your item description. You can't make up your own policies. Ebay offers customers a money back guarantee. Ebay will honor that regardless of what you typed in your item description.

That's the tiniest print in a description I've ever seen. I had to use my specs to even read it. That was one openly deceptive listing. Wow.

If this isn't a violation of the following policy it certainly should be.

We don't need sellers who intentionally mislead buyers, don't spend your ill-gotten gains too quick because you will be refunding.

Can someone help me compute the fees this seller will have to forfeit with this experiment? Let's see: items + shipping + sales tax probably run right around $1,000 . . .
And, of course, return shipping might be involved, unless the OP just lets the buyers keep whatever ended up getting shipped.
What about negative feedback? A couple negative feedback comments for such an infrequent seller are going to take their toll, as well.

Thanking for posting. One return and 2 more to go.
Ummmm, I don't mean to be disrespectful but you come across as a deceptive scammer F/A with such a deceitful listing.
When you list in Graphics/Video Cards and the picture and title says it's a Grapbics/Video Card with condition specifics that says new in open box there's no need to read further. They're expecting to receive a new card. And certainly not to pay $500 for some unwanted things I guarantole you aren't worth $500.
SOMEONE might be shocked as hell to receive xxx rated adult items when they haven't shopped in that category.
SMDH.

This sounds REALLY familiar. It was maybe a month or two back that someone else came in here with the very same scam and what I remember as almost identical verbiage. He was feigning ignorance about whether the buyer would be able to get refunded if they filed a Not as described dispute (answer was 'Oh HECK yes') and kept on pretending that they saw nothing wrong with fooling a buyer into paying hundreds of dollars for a picture of a game console. Maybe someone can find that thread? I think most all the regulars here were responding to it.

I remember that one...
They argued that someone, somewhere might actually want to get a second original box for their brand-new PS5 - For $700 - cuz the box is collectible!
At least they didn't use a stock picture...

I don’t feel bad scamming bots and scalpers what’s so ever, but I emailed the buyer asked him if he read description and he said no so I refunded him his money. Thank you for all the answers though

Buyers are notorious for not reading descriptions. How do you tell a bot, a scalper and a true buyer apart? What are you trying to achieve?
