New to Local Pickup selling, need help!

I read that people can pay with cash in person, but how does that work if when you buy, it requires you to pay with a card or Paypal? There's no cash option.

When I go to list the item, it doesn't give me any options for cash payment either. 

I'm just confused with this because I really want to avoid being scammed.

I don't have or see this option.
