I have a case a buyer opened for reason : doesn't match description or pictures. Both are lies. The buyer didn't read full description that it was for PARTS & REPAIR ONLY. Written in the title and description several times and under the category for PARTS & REPAIR under jewelry. Do I have to accept the return? OR is this a buyers remorse? I can't remember since I never had one of these. It is actually a buyers remorse and they added they did not read description or look at any of the pictures. IT was in right category, the brands I mentioned are definitely in the box I shipped and in the description. Buyer is being a complete jerk and I even added special pieces extra that were worth more than the entire box I send and the buyer got 50% off my asking price on top of it. They keep bugging me for return label now.
I have NEVER lied in a description and definitely would not just come up with brands of the items out of the air and put in the description. I am frustrated beyond belief. I am sure I am not going to get back all the items and I have a feeling they are going to take out the items I put in the description that were in box that I shipped. Just to make me or try to make me look like a liar. I have sold many of these for much more money and never had a problem.
Also complained it was mostly women's stuff. I said that in the description!! Also shows it in the detailed pictures.
So do I have to send a label for return or can I close case? Thanks.

I see where you went wrong. You chose pre-owned instead of parts or not working.
While you said what the buyer could use them for you also said they were untested. Then you said some may just need a battery, not sure. That means you knew they were not working. Besides, not sure of their condition isn't a description. The item condition said pre-owned. If you click on the blue ? by condition pre-owned it describes pre-owned as used previously and may have cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended. That is what eBay goes by. Not disclaimers to that. If you click on read more and then click on see all item condition definitions you will see that you chose the wrong condition specifics. For parts or not working should have been selected instead of pre-owned. You should accept the return and provide a return label. If eBay steps in they're going to refund and give you a defect for a case unresolved by the seller.

Your listings state no returns but that doesnt mean buyer cant be refunded. It only means you dont want the item(s) back
No, you dont HAVE to accept a return but again, that doesnt mean you dont have to refund the buyer. Whether you accept the return is neither here nor there. What is important is you have to refund the buyer regardless. If the buyer opens an item not as described, ebay will refund the buyer without expecting them to return the item because your listing states, no returns
If you DO want the item(s) back, you will have to send them a prepaid label
Yeah, I know, not what someone wants to hear but thems the rules.
When all is said and done, block the buyer so you wont have to deal with them again.
You could also report the buyer if you are so inclined

Im sorry, but no returns does not mean the seller doesnt want the items back. It means no refunds for remorse claims.

It doesnt? Well, of any item Ive ever bought that seller stated no returns that Ive needed to return I was told they didnt want it back and that was what no returns meant so....now what? I guess those sellers are just as confused about what that means as well *shrug*
Thanks just the same 👍🏻

I highly doubt they were confused..just didnt want their items back..and have to pay return shipping.

Do I have to accept the return?
Since the buyer filed an INAD, if you want the item back before refunding the buyer, accept the return and provide return shipping.
If buyer has Ebay to step in, they could refund the buyer from your Pay Pal account and let them keep the item.

Depending on the item and seller, some would rather refund then paying to have the item returned to them.

I specifically remember one time I needed to return an item that was stated as new but it obviously had been used...a ryobi battery....I was refunded without a shipping label sent to return it. I emailed the seller asking if they were going to send a return label so I could send it back to him and he asked could I not read? He didnt want the item back, he wasnt going to pay for a shipping label, and thats what no returns means. So yeah , that left the impression on me that that was what it meant...that the seller doesnt want the item back
Good to know what the real meaning is to that now though

Frankly, sellers who aren’t very knowledgeable put “no returns” thinking it makes sales final. Others do it to discourage remorse returns on items that truly aren’t practical for buyers to try out.
They forget that a buyer need only claim SNAD.
That’s why we have shocked sellers coming to the boards asking if they “have to” provide return labels and refund upon receipt.
No one wants to be out both the item and payment, but that’s what happens when sellers dig in.
Smart sellers stay calm and sensible - they refund without return when damage is legit, it’s a small enough sale the hassle isn’t worth it, whatever works for their business plan. The point is, it’s a reasoned case by case decision.

Sorry your heart fell..I certainly didnt mean for that to happen! I figure its always better to know if we are posting something incorrect. And we all get corrected occasionally..you toughen up when you've been on the boards a long time..I let it roll right off me..you should too.
