Re: Promoted listings and fees

If you don't bother to provide complete information you are really wasting everyone's time here.

Are you surprised your sale produced little earning? Didn't you know you'll need to pay FVF and add fee as well as how they are calculated? You set the price so thank to yourself for the result you decided.

Do you have a question?

Re: Promoted listings and fees

That would mean you paid 90% in fees.

I highly doubt that.

Re: Promoted listings and fees

That's true, that's why I'm mentioning it to community  .If it is my mistake ,why Ebay  when we choose the Promoted Listings Standard  stopped writing how much the ad rate corresponds to dollars? So we will know how much the promotion will cost us,and it will be our responsibility how much ad rate we choose.

Re: Promoted listings and fees

Shouldn't you be thanking your decision to promote it at 70% ad rate?

Re: Promoted listings and fees

Just my educated guess based on your info. If my guess is way off it's because your info is misleading.

Re: Promoted listings and fees

As you can see, many of us are having a hard time understanding that $3.

Can you please return and show us a breakdown of your fees on this transaction?

They can't know (and therefore show) what the total price of promoted listing fee will be since it now depends on the total sale price....the sold price, plus shipping and tax.  It's the same as fvf.......you don't know for sure what that charge will be because of the variables.    To end up with $3 on a $60/90 sale.......you must have CHOSEN a very high % for the promoted fee....... As I think you said..........it's your (our) responsibility to understand the process so we don't end up with surprises like the $3.....
