I can't imagine what kind of parent thinks $160 for a Minnie Mouse headband is a good deal in the first place. Maybe ebay is trying to save idiots from themselves?
More importantly, I cannot think of any human being (other than our board blue, and those to which he must answer to and obey) that would even consider this an "essential" item worthy of restriction or ebay sanction. I keep wondering if the OP got a similar response from CS as the video game seller did ..."Yes, we realize this is a headband with minnie mouse ears....."

I'll say it again... eBay has been jumping the shark in extreme slow motion since 2008... this is the landing.

There seems to be an update of sorts at the end of the video game thread. From the looks of it, ALL items, even if not deemed "essential" now fall under this policy. They must be listed at a "reasonable price" not to exceed two times the manufacture's MSRP for items still produced/available in the retail market. Well, well, isn't that special? Of course, lots of items are still being produced....counterfeits in China come to mind. eBay somehow knows what items are still produced and when they ceased production of course to make sure the new super secret policy is applied fairly.

Good morning,
Can you please show a link to that policy please?

I don't know if they specifically made changes on the policy page yet, this is new, or an internal guideline. You can see the message in post #232 in the following thread.
