Seems eBay is having problems with this stuff- and everyone is out for the weekend.

Yes and this OP is not alone:

This one got fixed- after a few days it seems. It's just amazing that eBay can't seem to get ANYTHING right EVER...

@Anonymous - can you help?

it seems that eBay has invoked an obscure policy whereby they may choose anything, at their discretion, to be a product subject to price gouging

Yes, i sold some of them already without a problem, and i list my last 1.

And Boom, listing removed because of price gouging. Its a limited item that released last month. I thought price gouging only for ESSENTIAL items.

Now im scare to let my other collectibles listings up.

I was aware of the whole video game fiasco and commented several times.

I'm "all ears" (pun intended) to hear the excuse as to why this item falls under price gouging.

Ridiculous........

WOW!

If Mickey Mouse ears are considered "essential".......than I'm left speechless yet again like I was with the video game debacle.

Nobody's in charge is what it looks like to me... same as enforcement of every policy anymore...

Competitors are having a field day, as usual.

OP, you may just have to lay low with collectibles till someone at the controls wakes up on Monday. What a mess.☹️

Yeah, i wont list a new item for now, i may let the current listings up and pray for the best.

My guess because some salty buyers that reported me because i declined their lowball offers.

Happened to 1 of my friend as well, his Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Console got removed.

We just dont get it what is essentials or not now in eBay eyes.

It seems these days, any item can be reported for price gouging. Some folks are getting too carried away with what they feel is an "essential" item and the ebay bots instantly jump on it.

Probably a seller selling a similar item reported it then eBay's automated system removed the listing with out human review. I would say call eBay and complain but no phone support. Perhaps tag a blue.

Blues have been tagged on the subject. It is not competitor/bot action.

It is eBay policy being applied (misapplied)

if an item is listed at a reasonable selling price, then it would not be considered a violation. Nobody is expecting a discount to be provided, only that fair prices be applied. Attempting to profit off the hardship of others, regardless of the item in question, has always been a violation of eBay policy. Our stance on price gouging and the related reporting options that have been introduced are in addition to the policies we already had in place. You can read more here.

Trinton is bloodied and bruised from his last go round with the video game episode.

To be fair I think this may be a case of AI bots gone rogue.
OR could someone, somewhere thinks the bandana could possibly, maybe double as a face mask?

Hang on a sec….someone sent an offer you declined. Then all of a sudden you are now price gouging?
