Buyer isn't happy with the cost of shipping. I gave him the dimensions and weight of the box with my zipcode and said 'See if you can find a better rate'. He just replied and said I should send a 15 pound large box media mail. --- Straight to Blocked Bidders List.
What have you got today?

"Please stop the auction now so that I can buy it at my bid price, I don't want it to go any higher."

A buyer really really wanted my item but couldn’t pay till three weeks hence. Sent several messages begging me to END my listing and relist on a certain day when their account would have a check deposited. Said other sellers had done this. That was the stupid part.
I was nice, resisted blocking her (although I don’t know how I managed that). With a few days left on listing, that buyer purchases, I ship and later got beautiful FB.
All this and the “check” was not even to be deposited till later this week!

This was on FB. I listed my CTS Cadillac clearly stating the transmission was bad and needed to be towed. IT WAS IN THE FIRST SENTENCE !! Price $300. Do you have any idea how many IDIOTS there are out there?
I quit responding " with did you read the ad ? It need to be towed" to come on by and pick it up. It was truly priceless when they would show up expecting to drive off with a sweet CTS for $300. I would ask them were was the tow truck when they would ask to test drive it. The guy I sold it to was CERTAIN he could drive it home and then fix it made it to the neighbors house next door before it quit moving. Guess what, he had to get it towed.

Swarovski IS 24% lead crystal - the kind of stuff you make wine glasses from. Rhinestones USED to be cut quartz and often ARE plain old colored glass but now are any sparkly clear synthetic material, including plastics. It is basically anything (glass, crystals, plastic) that isn't a real gemstone (like amethyst, garnet, emerald, sapphire, ruby, etc). I suppose cubic zirconia (completely man made of chemical mixtures and NOT a gem at all) could also be considered a rhinestone.
Also note the difference between synthetic and simulated. Synthetic is made in a lab but IS the real thing (i.e., lab created/manmade diamonds ARE real diamonds just not natural from the ground). Simulated is completely fake and designed to replace the good stuff to reduce the price (CZs or acrylic to replace wool). PLEASE don't let anybody tell you a cubic zirconia is a manmade or lab grown diamond - it isn't! A real lab grown diamond STILL takes work and materials to create and skill to cut so it will STILL cost some money, but maybe not as much as a perfect natural diamond. Gemstones aren't rare but gemstones good and clear enough to make into jewelry are.

I had a buyer initiate a return after leaving glowing positive feedback. Well....days and days passed...no return of my item that was in perfect new condition(wanted to return it because item was not as described? we all know this drill) My item was due back April 15th. I sent 3 messages to Ebay CS asking them to please close the case since it was apparent that my item was not going to be returned. I called Ebay CS yesterday and after 30 minutes on the phone with a rep that could speak only a little bit of the English language, the rep finally understood what I was asking...to have this case closed. Rep said he would escalate the claim on up the Ebay chain and I should have my "refund back to me within 48 hours"(I am the seller, not the buyer) I checked a little while later that afternoon and the case was closed...but my positive feedback from the buyer was also removed. I have never in my years of selling on Ebay, had a positive feedback removed.

I have had more than a few irate buyers when I "allowed someone else to take MY ITEM!" Well kiddo, here's how auctions work... Just because you bid FIRST, if you don't bid ENOUGH someone else will buy it out from under you. And NO I WONT redo the auction so you can win this time.

Guy buys a $15 distributor cap from me. Opens a return, "wrong item sent"
I reply, sir I sent the exact cap pictured, how was wrong item sent?
He replies this is a screw down cap, I need one with clips. I reply, the one pictured is a screw down type!
Response...on Amazon this cap is a clip type, that is the one I need, you sent me the wrong one!

What have you got today?
Buyer opened a SNAD case claiming silk twill and 100% cashmere sweater I sold her was "not in beautiful condition as described. Only very good condition."
*choke*
So she sent it back for a full refund and of course I paid for return shipping.
What I hadn't mentioned in my listing, was that the sweater was actually new without tags. I know this, because I purchased it retail and removed the tags, intending to wear it but changed my mind. I listed it as pre-owned and stated it was in beautiful condition.
In fact, it was in perfect, new condition. At least it was, now there's a white deodorant schmear on one inside armhole seam and the aroma of Ombre Rose cologne.
Well, another one for the BBL.

This one is from 2002. It's kind of sad.
I was in Canada back then. I sent a dress to a buyer in NYC. Tracking showed it was delivered.
About 3 weeks after it was delivered, she opened an Item Not Received Case.
I responded with an image of my receipt and a screen capture of the Canada Post and US Post tracking records showing delivery.
She looked at them and replied that she hadn't realized I was in Canada and that when she received a package from Canada, she was afraid it might contain anthrax or something, so she put it in a black garbage back and put it under her sink, intending to call some branch of law enforcement or other to check it out but never got around to it.
Case closed.

Buyer sent 2 offers, which I declined, AFTER I told him my bottom price. Finally, he buys for my best price. Sent an email asking when I will ship it. He hadn't paid yet so, I knew something was up. Then, he starting begging me to ship it & he will pay with a check after it's received. I say no multiple times. He tells me I should do it because others have scammed him. LOL! Also, he got extremely rude. Blocked! 🙂 Good luck to us all.

This one's kind of gross. It was posted a long time ago by a buyer who bought a doll for her young niece who was present when it arrived.
The buyer claimed that when the package was opened, the doll was cushioned in the box with crumpled pages from a very XXX rated magazine. Of particular note, she shared with us, was a photo shoot involving a donkey.
We immediately assumed that she was upset on her niece's behalf.
Oh no.
She was upset because she put the box out of sight, intending to dispose of the offending pages later. When she went to fetch them, the box was there but the pages were gone. She discovered that her husband had waylaid them, and was now basically following her around the house trying to persuade her to join him in some recreation that she thought was no longer on the agenda. That's why she was upset.
Forget about the kid!

I feel ya - I often wish Ebay had a policy that prevented new items from being returned after they had been used. A couple of other sites you only have 3 days to accept the item or keep it then no more returns. It doesn't give people enough time to wear a dress to prom or Easter church, etc then return it.
