Please Check Your Variation Listings In Search

I was just doing a search for my ornaments, using the term  Recycled Can Ornaments.  My variation composite/stitched photos are not showing at all for any of my variation listings.  The images being returned are random single items from within the variation and not all items from the variation listings are shown as individuals.  

Is anyone else seeing this?  Do we know if this is an intentional change?

I am having the same issue. The only way I found to fix this was to add all my variation photos to the default and click use default from the drop down for variation photos. The variation photo will not appear when they select the variation but it will be in the thumbnails for the buyer to see. This diminishes the buyer experience while in the listing but at least it gets my best photo in the search results

Yea I guess this would fix the issue if you have 12 or less photos in total. Ebay only allows 12 photos per "level" right? Like 12 photos for default, and 12 photos for each variation. So for instance if you have t shirts in 20 different colors, you wouldn't be able to do your work-around fix and still have 20 colors uploaded.

It's almost nearing 2 weeks for this reported wave (of an old glitch). I wonder if someone is ACTUALLY working to fix this, or if it's just sitting in someone's inbox and the glitch guy hasn't taken a look at the support ticket yet.

We have been told earlier in the thread they are working on it.  I have no reason to believe they aren't.  We all hope it is fixed soon.

I was going to suggest we get a pool going to see who can guess when this will get fixed, but with the hit this is causing to my sales I have no dinero to bet!

I am losing hope...

Everyday that passes without a fix my sales diminish at a greater rate.   I think all of the serious watchers that I had over the past couple of weeks have purchased...I only have 18 watchers left and no sales since the 22nd.  I am about to experience the smallest weekly payout I have had this year.

I actually just thought of this about taking guesses too but you beat me to the punch. How about this... take a yes/no poll.

Will this variation glitch be resolved before a covid vaccine is released? I vote NO.

That other variations glitch where it shows the wrong quantity has been going on since March or April of 2019. That's still not fixed.

This is a bigger issue so maybe eBay will give it a higher priority?

I think we'll be dealing with this all the way through holiday sales and beyond. Like McD, I hope I'm wrong - but my vote is also no.

I don’t know... is it? This photo glitch doesn’t cause sellers to end up selling inventory that they don’t have. The other glitch does. Wouldn’t that be a bigger issue?

I saw the correct photos for about 10 seconds this morning around 9:30 PT. Then I clicked to the next page and it was back to the wrong photos- went back to the first page and it was also back to the wrong photos.

I think there may be hope on the horizon.  My listings are starting to show the correct gallery pics.  I haven't looked at them all, but quite a few are.

Yours I'm not seeing the correction yet.  But maybe they are rolling it out.  Fingers crossed.  I did look at the listing of your below, my personal FAVORITE and I'm the PROUD owner of several of these, they are even prettier in person.

Thank you for the update.  I will check my listing a little later in the day and see if there is any correction.

My sales really tanked so I started breaking up (ending or setting to 0 quantity) some of my variation listings and putting them back up as individual ornaments.  That is really helping, I sold 20 yesterday.  It just takes so much time to do, though.

I noticed you started breaking up your listings.  At least we have all those freebies right now so you didn't have to pay extra for them.  Well there is your labor to do it, but at least no Ebay fees.  Glad to hear you got some sales.

As of right now, my listings are displaying correctly in both search and in my store.  Hopefully, it stays fixed!
